• Support, administer, and maintain Enterprise GIS environments hosted on AWS • Monitor system performance, availability, security, and capacity • Perform regular maintenance, updates, and patching • Develop and maintain REST APIs, microservices, automation workflows, reports, and Web-GIS applications • Improve the usability, performance, reliability, and maintainability of existing GIS platforms • Integrate Enterprise GIS solutions with enterprise databases, business applications, and map-enabled systems • Support migration and transition of GIS applications, dashboards, services, StoryMaps, and GIS data • Ensure GIS solutions comply with enterprise architecture, security, engineering, and deployment standards • Troubleshoot production issues, resolve service requests, and provide technical support • Participate in Agile ceremonies including Scrum, Kanban, sprint planning, and team meetings • Collaborate with GIS specialists, project teams, business stakeholders, and external consultants • Serve as backup support for the GIS Server Manager and GIS Administrator when required

• Delineate and generalize port, waterway, coastal, offshore, and multipart features using approved parent geometry, authoritative sources, and the Waterways Harmonization model • Support creation of approved supplemental geometry • Determine logical geographic beginning and end points for features • Preserve standardized naming relationships and source lineage • Ensure resulting features are suitable for operational use, public display, ingestion, maintenance, and archival • Identify areas where Government decisions are needed to resolve ambiguity, source conflict, or feature interpretation issues

• Review Government-furnished inventory items and cross-reference them against the NAVCEN Port Status application and Harmonized Waterways Dataset Explorer • Identify corresponding features, applicable identifiers, standardized and alternate names, responsible COTP, available geometry, source lineage, and data discrepancies • Develop and maintain source crosswalk data • Support the decision register • Implement the approved data schema • Produce and validate polygons • Perform topology checks • Document metadata • Support incremental production package delivery • Resolve geometry and attribution issues • Identify discrepancies requiring Government adjudication • Support automated and manual validation processes

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in spatial data processing, transformation, and integration using FME (Feature Manipulation Engine). The role involves working with a variety of data formats, including GIS, CAD, BIM, databases, XML, JSON, and cloud services, to support data integration, quality assurance, and advanced ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tasks. Key Responsibilities: - Spatial Data Integration & Transformation: - Design, develop, and optimize spatial data workflows using FME. - Perform ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data across multiple formats, ensuring consistency and accuracy. - Handle complex data transformations for various GIS, CAD, and BIM formats. - Data Quality Assurance & Validation: - Ensure high data quality and integrity during the data migration and transformation process. - Implement validation checks to ensure compliance with project standards and requirements. - Collaboration & Requirements Gathering: - Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and understand the spatial data needs of the organization. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop effective solutions and streamline data workflows. - Automation & Optimization: - Automate repetitive tasks and workflows to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort. - Continuously optimize FME scripts and processes to handle large datasets effectively. - Documentation & Reporting: - Document FME workflows and transformations for future reference and knowledge sharing. - Provide regular status updates and reports on ongoing projects. - Support & Troubleshooting: - Troubleshoot issues related to spatial data workflows, FME transformations, and data integration. - Provide technical support and guidance to team members on FME-related queries.
