• Develop STARLIMS Software and configure STARLIMS solutions to address customer requirements. • Install software and configure, document, and test laboratory workflows. • Provide technical capabilities for planning and implementing system installation and upgrades. • Research & evaluate alternative solutions and make recommendations for improved system operations.

• This is a senior technical role covering the full software development lifecycle, from requirements through deployment, along with system support, compliance, and mentorship of junior team members. • The Senior Software Engineer IV will own architecture, design, and engineering of core STARLIMS software building user-facing applications, business rules, data management logic, and embedded system control components. • This role will play a key role in modernizing the technology stack to support continued product innovation, scalability, and long-term growth. • Partner with the technical manager to engineer customer-driven solutions. • Provide day-to-day support and resolve operational issues. Maintain installation and operating procedures for complex, multi-system environments.

• Build innovative tools allowing scientists and students to discover, transform, update, and improve the quality of Earth Science data • Work in a fast-paced Agile development environment performing operations, maintenance, and development for the NASA Earthdata Cloud • Ensure adherence to operational agreements and policies, compliance to program and NASA standards and requirements, leveraging best practices for automation and scalability of assets, and implementation of issue detection and alerts

• Develop front-end and back-end solutions; • Write clean, functional, and maintainable code; • Identify, test, and fix bugs and other coding issues; • Collaborate with Development and Product teams to build new solutions; • Develop and manage databases and applications; • Create and maintain efficient APIs with high availability and low latency; • Conduct tests to ensure responsiveness, security, and efficiency of solutions; • Implement security configurations and data protection measures; • Monitor application health using observability tools; • Architect solutions and actively participate in technical system architecture discussions; • Operate AWS resources when necessary; • Mentor junior and mid-level developers, acting as a technical and professional reference for the team; • Share best practices and contribute to the team's technical growth; • Prepare and maintain technical documentation.
