• Own prospect identification, segmentation, prioritization, and outreach across named accounts based on segment attractiveness, buying intent, relationship access, fit with Zeta’s capabilities, and likelihood of conversion • Open doors and establish trusted access to decision makers, sponsors, and influencers across banks, regulated financial institutions, program managers, fintechs, processors, networks, consultants, and other ecosystem participants • Build & nurture qualified pipeline that meets clear standards including named prospect, named buyer or sponsor, documented use case, estimated annual contract value, and next meeting or decision milestone scheduled • Drive the full deal journey for assigned opportunities spanning discovery, qualification, solution framing, pitching, pricing inputs, business case development, stakeholder mapping, procurement support, contracting support, and deal closure • Anchor pre-sales engagements in partnership with the sales engineering team to create & deliver demos, POCs, tabletop-exercises, solution workshops, discovery sessions, and other impactful formats that generate traction with clients • Support contracting, client onboarding, and early account activation to ensure a clean handoff from signed opportunity to delivery, implementation, and long-term account ownership • Participate in events and industry fora to acquire leads, drive visibility, and awareness of Zeta’s offerings & solutions • Maintain rigorous deal discipline through accurate CRM hygiene, weekly pipeline reviews, opportunity plans, stakeholder maps, next-step tracking, forecast updates and more • Contribute market intelligence, buyer feedback, competitor insights, pricing signals, and product input to help refine Zeta’s proposition, right to play, and right to win in this segment
Technical Business Development Manager

Role Description Technical Business Development Manager for Italy (m/f/d) Engineering Services for Pharmaceutical Manufacturing - Provide technical support to Sales during customer discussions and early opportunity development - Analyze and evaluate RFI/RFP documents, assess technical feasibility, define solution concepts and identify project risks and new project opportunities - Support and co-lead the bid management process in collaboration with the Business Line and technical departments - Develop process engineering concepts, scope definitions and technical documentation for pharmaceutical projects - Coordinate and align with subcontractors and external partners during bid and early project phases - Maintain and nurture existing customer relationships to sustain and expand business opportunities, collaborating with the Sales function on the Italian market - Support commercial and contractual clarification with customers, ensuring technical completeness and consistency - Contribute to project execution in early phases, including customer coordination and technical reporting Qualifications - University degree in Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or a comparable technical discipline - Several years of experience in pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical plant engineering (EPC/EPCM environment preferred) - Proven experience in bid management, technical proposal preparation, or project development - Strong understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and GMP requirements - Experience coordinating cross-functional engineering teams in complex technical environments - Structured, analytical, and solution-oriented working style with strong quality and cost awareness - Fluent in Italian and English; German is an advantage Benefits - Flexible working hours - Events for employees - Occupational medicine Company Description ZETA is a globally active solutions provider that supports pharmaceutical and biotech companies in bringing vital medicines – such as insulin, infusions, and cancer treatments – to market faster and more efficiently. • Own the P&L of this business for US mid-market banks, credit unions, and regulated fintechs offering retail banking products (deposits, loans, cards) • Own the entire prospect to client journey spanning: prospect identification, opening doors, pitching, pricing, closing deals, and managing existing client relationships and engagements • Own the GTM partner and channel relationships needed to drive success • Build and scale a highly capable business development, sales, and account management team • Collaborate with centralized marketing center-of-excellence teams to deliver the right positioning, messaging, and campaigns that drive traction • Oversee the forward deployment of solutions engineers and product engineers at client sites to accelerate implementation and ensure client satisfaction and outcomes • Manage day-to-day business operations for the business • Contribute to product strategy
