Account Director – New Business, Infrastructure

• Develop and execute a targeted new business strategy across the Iberian market • Sell Zayo infrastructure both within Iberia and outbound to our European backbone • Identify, prospect, and engage high-value accounts • Build relationships with technical and commercial decision-makers • Consistently deliver against new business targets through a disciplined approach
• Manage fibre design / OSP / ISP engineers &GIS team in the delivery of all optical network infrastructure projects from survey / tender stage to planning right through to implementation and acceptance. • Responsible for daily management and supervision of construction and fibre engineering vendors to expedite the construction, cabling, fibre splicing & testing to deliver multiple OSP projects. • Design and review fibre optic network designs as per each individual project requirements. • Production of detailed project costing & BoM. • Production and issue of high-level design and installation documents. • Receive and review network As-built information including fibre analysis. • Assist Sales Engineers to generate routes drawings along with costs, for prospective customer opportunities and network capabilities • Interact with Project Managers regarding customer delivery quality issues that require resolution prior to acceptance. • Standardise and maintain Network information within salesforce for customer networks and Zayo infrastructure projects, maintaining accuracy and validation. • Manage relationships of Local Authorities, 3rd parties and ROW contacts. • Having a close working relationship with underlying rights group to identify and prepare work permitting and building access agreements. • Perform Health & Safety and Quality Assurance checks to ensure compliance. • Provide specialised telecommunications technical expertise to support telecom civil construction methods and optical cable installation both externally and within a datacentre environment. • Provide direct interface with customers, subcontractors, local authorities and Zayo personnel. • Support customer meetings as necessary and travel to client and/or construction sites. • Oversee procurement of equipment and materials related to the assigned projects. • Execute Bid Process support, inclusive of fibre networks, infrastructure, backbone design and budgetary requirements. • Verify and update project documentation to manage project delivery, risk, budgets and internal/external communication. • Provide on-call support to respond to and troubleshoot network outages and emergency restoration activities. • Timely tracking of project progress and budget in Salesforce.com and other manual trackers. • Timely update of budget requests, purchase orders, project close out and internal service orders in Salesforce.
• The Business Development Director is expected to be a subject matter expert on the market dynamics in Iberia, particularly focused on Data Centre Development and Hyperscale expansion to form a strategy to facilitate targeted investment. • Identify both organic and inorganic opportunities to increase Zayo Europe's reach, capabilities and relevance within Iberia and across Europe. • Responsible for supporting sales-led directives, and self-identified strategic investment opportunities. • Form strategic relationships and manage existing agreements, to create mutually beneficial business outcomes for both parties. • Assist in the development of programmatic initiatives which will drive multiple revenue streams across newly connected Data Centres and expanded assets. • Provide competitive landscape insight and pricing strategies and ensure accurate reporting. • Directly engaging the field sales directors and teams to support sales pursuits from opportunity identification through close. • Drive sales results in accounts tied to strategic partnerships. • Enable and drive sales team engagement through education, targeted support, Executive-level presentations and other tools and methods needed to support the organisation's success in attaining the assigned sales targets.

The Account Director will be responsible for supporting accounts in need of fibre network infrastructure. The role involves developing customer relationships and driving sales of connectivity and infrastructure services. The successful candidate will meet sales and revenue growth targets through consistent account management and acquiring new customers. This role requires autonomy, with a focus on large, complex deals using a consultative approach. Key Responsibilities: - Generate sales revenue by promoting Zayo products and services. - Present proposals and manage the sales process with customers. - Maintain strong customer relationships, securing existing revenue and acquiring new accounts. - Develop account strategies, solution designs, and manage relationships on targeted accounts. - Track, analyze, and report on sales performance using Salesforce and other tools. - Provide accurate sales forecasts and timely information to management. - Collaborate with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction and revenue goals are met. - Work independently and as part of a team, handling a high volume of work with responsiveness. Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. - 5+ years of relevant experience. - Proven relationship-building skills and strong financial acumen. - Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills. - Ability to work effectively in a matrix management model. - Strong understanding of account management and strategic selling. - Knowledge of Microsoft Office; Salesforce experience is a plus. - General understanding of Zayo Networks’ value proposition, products, and services. - Ability to travel as needed.
