The Opportunity We are seeking a highly analytical, strategic, and execution-oriented Chief of Staff to support the Head of Ex-Japan on the company’s highest-priority initiatives. This role will serve as a strategic partner and operational lead across complex, cross-functional projects that are critical to the organization’s growth and long-term success. The ideal candidate brings a background in management consulting, corporate strategy, strategic finance, or business operations, along with strong project management capabilities and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments. This person should be equally comfortable driving executive-level strategic planning discussions and rolling up their sleeves to execute against key business priorities. Projects may include international expansion initiatives, strategic partnerships, operational transformation efforts, organizational scaling, AI-related initiatives, and other ad hoc priorities as the business evolves. Key Responsibilities - Partner closely with the Head of Ex-Japan Business to drive execution against strategic priorities and organizational goals - Lead and manage high-impact, cross-functional projects from planning through execution - Develop project plans, timelines, stakeholder communications, and executive updates to ensure initiatives remain on track - Conduct strategic analysis, financial modeling, market research, and operational assessments to support decision-making - Identify operational gaps, risks, and inefficiencies and recommend scalable solutions - Prepare executive-level presentations, business cases, and strategic recommendations for leadership discussions - Coordinate across teams including operations, finance, recruiting, HR, commercial, and leadership functions - Help establish structure, accountability, and operational rigor across rapidly evolving initiatives - Act as a trusted thought partner on emerging business opportunities and organizational priorities Qualifications - 3–7 years of experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, strategic finance, FP&A, business operations, or a similar strategic role - Strong project management experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives - Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills - Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-changing environments - Excellent executive communication and presentation skills - Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint - Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and drive projects forward without direct authority - Highly proactive, detail-oriented, and execution-focused Preferred Background - Experience at a top-tier management consulting firm strongly preferred - Experience working in high-growth or entrepreneurial environments is a plus - Exposure to international business operations, transformation initiatives, or strategic partnerships is preferred What Success Looks Like - Driving strategic initiatives from concept through execution with minimal oversight - Bringing clarity, organization, and momentum to complex business priorities - Serving as a force multiplier for leadership by anticipating needs and proactively solving problems - Building strong cross-functional relationships and ensuring alignment across teams - Helping the organization scale effectively through disciplined execution and strategic thinking This role is ideal for someone looking to gain broad exposure to executive leadership, strategic decision-making, and high-impact business operations within a dynamic and growing organization.
