Title: Risk - Business Continuity Officer Location: Richmond United States Job Description: Category: Risk Position Type: Regular Full-Time Min: USD $82,000.00/Yr. Max: USD $111,000.00/Yr. Overview Join Virginia Housing and help make a difference as a Business Continuity Officer. This important role will be responsible for safeguarding Virginia Housing’s critical operations by leading the development, implementation, and testing of Business Continuity (BC) and Disaster Recovery (DR) plans to ensure minimal disruption and rapid recovery. Serves as the primary point of contact for business units and leadership, guiding the annual development of continuity strategies and plans. Oversees the organization-wide BC/DR program, including annual reviews, updates, testing, and reporting. Partners across departments to conduct Business Impact Analyses and ensures alignment with enterprise risk priorities. Manages vendor relationships to support continuity efforts and ensures compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements. Virginia Housing is one of the nation’s leading housing finance agencies. To be successful in this role you must possess: - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. - A few years' (3+ preferred) experience in Risk Management to include planning, documenting, and testing Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery projects and initiatives. - Ability to communicate with all levels within an organization and comfortable leading meetings related to risk management topics. - Occasional availability after-hours for business continuity business matters. The ideal candidate would also have experience in: - Project Management - Crisis Management - Regulatory Compliance - Business Impact Analysis - Risk Assessments - Vendor Relationships - Third-Party Risk Management We have a hybrid work model (3 days in office, 2 days remote). Hiring Range: $82,000 - $111,000
