Role Description As the Sr. Compliance Officer, Marketing, you will be critical to delivering exceptional products and marketing materials, while ensuring compliance with applicable consumer protection requirements. We’re looking for someone who has a growth mindset, is a self-starter, and enjoys a fast-paced working environment. This person will have a strong handle on consumer compliance regulations and product development in a financial services environment, and enjoys working creatively to solve business problems in a compliant manner. This is a great opportunity to join the compliance team at the first all-digital bank to receive a national banking charter. - Collaborate with Marketing and Product teams to understand new products to review advertising and marketing materials for compliance with applicable laws, including Reg DD, Reg Z, Privacy laws including TCPA, and UDAAP. - Collaborate with Marketing on development and maintenance of the Compliance Marketing Guidelines, which operates as the Bank’s guide for marketing and advertising materials. - Review and edit marketing and advertising copy for social media, print, billboards, radio, TV, and marketing partnerships to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, including Reg DD, Reg Z, UDAAP/UDAP, FCRA, TCPA, etc. - Advise the business on compliance requirements and related controls. - Collaborate with the Product and Operations teams on the development of products, services, and processes to build compliance into the products from the start. - Review and edit FAQs, procedures, and training programs related to deposit and lending products and services. - Perform analysis, reporting, determine root cause, and report on a periodic basis, with a focus on identifying patterns and areas of improvement within Compliance and business partners that could lead to customer harm. Qualifications - Consumer compliance experience with deposits and/or open-end credit in the Banking/ FinTech space. - Ability to communicate positively with members of various internal teams and regulators. - Experience providing compliance advice to all levels of management. - A passion for and dedication to detail. - Proven track record of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, high volume environment. - Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership and thought-leadership. - Regulatory knowledge and interpretation skills in a technology environment. - Cooperation, teamwork and great computer skills. - Great writing skills-crafting creative solutions with marketing partners. - Working knowledge of a Compliance Management System. - CRCM preferred, but not required. Title: Executive Assistant - Contract Location: Charlotte United States Job Description: Varo is an entirely new kind of bank. All digital, mission-driven, FDIC insured and designed for the way our customers live their lives. A bank for all of us. Varo Bank is seeking a highly organized Temporary Executive Assistant to support approximately 5-6 key leaders and provide backup and coordination with other admins, as well as provide office support in our Charlotte location. In this essential coverage role, you will keep our executives' days running smoothly, coordinate daily administrative needs, and help organize events and provide assistance in our new office space. We are looking for a proactive professional who excels in Google Workspace and can hit the ground running. You will be successful in this role if you are a clear communicator who easily navigates complex schedules and shifting priorities. W2 Contract Details: - 4 months minimum (potential for extension) - 40 hours/week (EST working hours) - $40-$45/hr. - Target Start Date: End of April/Beginning of May - Hybrid working schedule (2-3 days a week in office) What you'll be doing: - Manage and prioritize complex calendars for multiple leaders, proactively resolving scheduling conflicts. - Plan and execute Charlotte office events, and special projects as needed, including booking spaces, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, catering, and managing technology setup. - Provide precise scheduling support for high-priority meetings, including the Board, Audit, and Risk Management Committees. - Act as the primary administrative point of contact, seamlessly adapting to shifting team priorities. - Make travel and accommodation arrangements, and manage associated expense reporting. You'll bring the following required skills and experiences: - Previous experience as an Executive Assistant supporting multiple C-suite leaders simultaneously. - High proficiency in Google Workspace, specifically Google Calendar and Gmail. - Strong organizational, time-management (or agile context-switching) and problem-solving skills. - Clear and inclusive communication skills with a highly collaborative mindset. - Based in the Charlotte, NC area with availability to support East Coast working hours. $40 - $45 an hour We recognize not everyone will have all of these requirements.
