The foundation is in the public phase of a historic campaign to raise $3 billion to build a better future for Nebraska. The campaign is being led by many enthusiastic volunteers representing all areas of the University of Nebraska System. This position will be fully remote working from Denver or surrounding areas. Ways you’ll make an impact: - Play a critical role in building a robust community of philanthropic support in the Denver market. - Manage a portfolio of donors and prospective donors. - Plan and implement major gift fundraising strategies, including identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major gift donors. - Develop and implement a strategy for each prospect in partnership with Foundation colleagues. - Foster relationships with alumni, community leaders, and engaged philanthropists leveraging in-person visits and video technology to enhance connections. - Leverage travel by University and Foundation leadership to the Denver area. Requirements - Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree required. - Minimum Experience: 1-3 or 3+ years’ experience in development, communication, sales, or another related field. - Preferred Experience: Experience in higher education fundraising as a student or professional. - Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills across multiple mediums, including video conferencing. - An affinity to Nebraska. - Strong collaboration and organizational skills. - Ability to prioritize effectively. - Discretion in handling and navigating confidential matters. - Candidates will also be evaluated on our core values of passion for mission, integrity, and teamwork.
