Role Description The purpose of the US Ski and Snowboard Sports Medicine Department is to support the vision of making the United States of America the best in the world in Olympic skiing and snowboarding. We strive to do this by providing athlete medical management both in health and in return from injury, safety in event organization and equipment. In this respect, the primary role of this position is to oversee the management and coordination of athlete care with respect to all medically related issues for named athletes on their respective team while utilizing outside expertise and rotational support when necessary. Qualifications - Certified Athletic Trainer (NATA Certification Board) or Licensed Physical Therapist with background in sports injuries, athletic training, and injury management - Three to five years of team sport or elite athlete experience post licensure - First Aid and CPR certified, acute injury management experience - Excellent communication skills, with the ability to coordinate with coaches, staff, athletes, physicians, and athlete management personnel as needed to fulfill the contracted scope of services - Excellent manual skills for athlete recovery and rehabilitation - Demonstrated ability to operate efficiently and effectively in high pressure/time sensitive settings - Participate in all U.S. Ski & Snowboard team staff and medical staff meetings - Ability to ski and snowboard is preferred Requirements - Provide athlete treatment / rehabilitation services - On hill coverage of all training and competitions as determined by the team schedule - Documentation, communication, and facilitation of athlete medical management - Extensive international travel - Assisting with insurance claims surrounding injuries - Coordination with staff and volunteer providers - Participation in sports medicine special projects pertaining to injury, risk mitigation, and performance medicine - Administrative responsibilities include assisting with insurance claims surrounding injuries, injury updates, coverage at the Center of Excellence when needed, attendance of required educational activities, participation in Medical/High performance meetings and additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned Benefits - Not Eligible Physical Requirements for the Role - Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions - Physical Requirements include lifting at least 50 lbs., ability to stand outside slope side or course side during training and competitions in adverse weather conditions

Role Description The Development Coach is responsible for the support and evolution of the XC development pathway. This includes the coordination, organization, and partial leadership of various camps and teams, including: - National Under-16 Camp - Regional Elite Group (REG) camps - National Development Group (NDG) camps - Under-18 Nordic Competition Teams - World Junior/U23 Championship Teams - Select COC Teams Key responsibilities include: - Creation of selection criteria and nominations - Travel logistics and daily operations - Identifying and securing staff - Waxing and coaching Key to this position is the coach’s ability to manage the variety of daily training, testing, communication, and logistical needs. Qualifications - Level 200 U.S. Ski and Snowboard Certification or equivalent preferred - Expert level XC skier - 4-6 years of professional coaching and/or program leadership preferred - Foreign language skills are a plus Requirements - Extensive travel, domestically and internationally - Detail and task-oriented, goal-driven, strategic and tactical thinker - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - Excellent leadership, coaching, training, and technical skills - Strong database skills (Excel/Sheets) and software skills for video production - Strong winter driving skills, including the ability to operate a manual transmission - Physically fit and capable of testing skis for long periods - Able to wax skis and improve waxing knowledge Benefits - Full benefits package including medical insurance and retirement Company Description U.S. Ski & Snowboard is committed to lead, encourage, and support athletes in achieving excellence and making the United States of America the Best in the World in Olympic skiing and snowboarding.
