Trace

• Own camera and multi-sensor calibration across our capture rigs, including intrinsics, extrinsics, and time synchronization • Build, evaluate, and improve SLAM, VIO, and mapping pipelines that recover aligned 6-DoF trajectories from real-world captures • Train and/or fine-tune models for pose estimation and semantic understanding of multi-modal data • Diagnose and fix the failures that actually show up in the field – drift, calibration drift, sensor misalignment, degraded tracking, weak reconstructions, noisy data • Define the ground-truth and benchmarking methodology we use to know whether the spatial layer is actually getting better • Decide where we need custom perception work versus where off-the-shelf components are good enough • Work closely with the rest of engineering and with Trace Labs (our applied research arm) to feed reliable spatial outputs into downstream annotation, evaluation, and product workflows

• Find and sign new capture partners (for example industrial and home services companies). • Build outbound pipeline via cold calls, email, and LinkedIn. • Qualify quickly: who owns the workflow, who can approve a pilot, and what it would take to launch. • Pitch Trace clearly and credibly to operators and owners. • Run discovery to shape pilot structure, including participants, timelines, incentives, and constraints. • Own deals end to end through agreement signature. • Coordinate handoff to the onsite onboarding lead and keep partners engaged through kickoff. • Capture objections and update messaging, scripts, and FAQs based on what you learn. • Maintain clean CRM hygiene with clear notes, stages, and next steps.

• Build and evolve core systems that move data from capture to customer-ready datasets • Own projects end-to-end and work directly with customers on both sides of the marketplace to inform product decisions. • Work across backend services, data pipelines, internal tooling, and product workflows • Improve reliability, performance, and observability of systems operating in messy environments • Help define technical direction and engineering best practices as the team scales

• Build and scale our capture-to-cloud pipeline (ingestion, uploads, processing, storage, access) • Drive performance work across compression, reliability, observability, and robustness of our data pipeline. • Build internal services and tools that unblock capture and operations teams • Partner closely with ops to shorten the loop from capture to customer-ready data • Help define technical direction and engineering best practices as the team scales
