Role Description This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly and supportive Data Quality Team. Accurate quality data is essential to ensure informed, strategic decisions are made, which drives growth and optimises operations and mitigates risks. - To help to develop and enhance understanding of the importance of accurate quality data within the Trust. - To liaise with front line colleagues to ensure data quality issues are actioned promptly and effectively, progress chasing as required. - To assist in training/educating staff to use Careflow EPR in order to maintain high quality data standards. - To work with the Software Services Team and end users to identify systemic problems with data quality and advise on solutions. - Specialist Knowledge in the use of SCR (Summary Care Records) and if required train managers, administrative, clerical staff and secretarial staff. - Support the Data Quality Manager in ensuring that accurate, complete and timely data pertaining to the Trust's Services is collected and added to Careflow. - To attain a specialist working knowledge of the processes involved in the collection and processing of Silverlink PAS data across the Trust. - To provide and receive complex and contentious information with system users/clinicians/staff concerned regarding data quality problems and to overcome them tactfully and persuasively. - To respond to adhoc enquiries concerning data quality as required by the Data Quality Manager, Directorate Manager’s, Directorate Teams. - To cover in the absence of colleagues. Qualifications - Please be advised that if the post that you are applying for requires any level of qualification (e.g. A-Levels, Degree etc) or Professional Registration (e.g. Nursing and Midwifery Council, General Medical Council etc) you will be required to provide proof as part of the pre-employment process. - By submitting your application you are giving the Trust permission to check the qualification certificates provided back to the source provider. - Please note that a sample of all applicant’s qualifications will be checked with the educational institution or provider. - Furthermore, a sample of all applicants’ qualifications will be checked back to the educational institution or provider to interview letters to further deter fraud. Requirements - To help to develop and enhance understanding of the importance of accurate quality data within the Trust. - To develop data quality policies, procedures and protocols where necessary and assist in the training of Careflow end users. - To work with Directorate Managers, Data Quality Manager, Directorate Information and front line staff to ensure that National and Contract Data Quality targets are effectively managed and monitored. - To lead on establishing and producing routine and non-routine data quality reports and summary information. - To participate in directorate contract review meetings and follow up on specific data quality issues. - To support internal data quality meetings by organising the venue, recording and distributing minutes and following up on actions. - To maintain a data quality catalogue of policies and procedures. - To represent central data quality issues at meetings within the Trust or at an appropriate level with outside organisations. - To work with the Careflow Training Team to ensure key data quality issues are incorporated into training sessions. - To work with the Data Quality Manager and other Directorate/Divisional Staff to achieve Information Governance targets where related to data quality. - To attain a specialist working knowledge of the processes involved in the collection and processing of EPR data across the Trust. - To monitor the accuracy, timelines and completeness of clinicians’ returns. - To provide and receive complex and contentious information with system users/clinicians/staff concerned regarding data quality problems. - To respond to adhoc enquiries concerning data quality as required by the Data Quality Manager, Directorate Manager’s, Directorate Teams etc. - To carry out any other duties consistent with the grade of the post, as required by the Data Quality Manager. - To cover in the absence of colleagues as required.
