• Ownership of the entire frontend architecture for our Shopify-based platforms • Shopify Plus frontend development of complex Shopify Plus themes based on Online Store 2.0 • Implementation of custom features and client-specific requirements using Liquid and JavaScript • Design and development of modular section architectures for maximum reusability and flexibility • Implementation of B2B and wholesale functionality within the Shopify Plus infrastructure • Implementation of Shopify Markets and multi-store strategies for international markets • Establishment and continuous development of enterprise-level headless Shopify setups • Development with Shopify Hydrogen, React, Next.js and the Storefront API (GraphQL) • Integration of external systems such as ERP, PIM, OMS, payment providers and CDN services into the headless architecture • Performance optimization for scalable, highly available storefronts • CDN optimization and caching strategies with Cloudflare, Vercel and Fastly • Internationalization of storefronts: multi-currency, multi-language and regional customization • Technical evaluation of apps and third-party solutions and well-founded build-vs-buy decisions • Conducting code reviews and defining code standards and best practices • Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes • Close collaboration with backend, data and marketing teams for holistic product development
