Role Description Tandia Financial (Tandia) is seeking a Permanent Full-time Member Solutions Advisor to join our virtual retail banking team in Burlington, Ontario. Under the general supervision of the Manager, Member Solutions, the advisor will: - Market the Credit Union’s products and services ensuring that members’ needs are efficiently met. - Promote, upsell, and cross-sell the full range of lending and investment products and sundry services. - Actively solicit new sales opportunities by following up on staff referrals and identifying target areas. - Participate in all campaigns and promotions to meet growth targets. - Manage a portfolio of assigned accounts while increasing volume of business annually to targets. - Process members' transactions and requests for account updates and closures. Qualifications - High school diploma plus 4-6 years job related experience, or - Some college plus 2-3 years job related experience, or - Completed college/university plus one year job related experience. - Successful completion of CUIC – Consumer and Residential Mortgage Lending course. - Successful completion of CUIC – Fundamentals of Personal Financial Planning course. - Previous credit underwriting experience. - Willingness to participate in ongoing CUIC (Credit Union Institute of Canada) General Studies Program. Requirements - Understanding of credit union's business objectives, philosophies, and principles. - Minimum 80% "Advanced" knowledge proficiency of credit union products and services. - Knowledge of policies and legalities regarding lending and deposit services. - Mathematical calculations on ratios and amortization schedules. - Knowledge of credit union policies and procedures relating to banking requirements. - In-depth knowledge of investments including registered plans.
