Role Description As a Junior AML Officer, you will be part of the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) department responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting the implementation of AML/CFT obligations across the brands operated by Super in Romania. - You will be designated as a person responsible for enforcement of the AML legislation, formally notified to the Romanian FIU (ONPCSB). - Work closely with the 1st line of defense (both Retail and Online staff), the AML department, and other internal stakeholders to ensure effective customer due diligence, transaction monitoring, reporting, and overall compliance with AML/CFT regulations. Qualifications - University degree in Law or Economic studies. - At least one year of experience working in operational AML activities or a similar compliance-focused role. - Fluent in English, with the ability to understand and interpret legal and regulatory language. - Strong analytical and investigative skills. - Team player with the ability to work remotely and unsupervised. - Comfortable navigating change and identifying opportunities for improvement. - Very good verbal and written communication skills. - Strong organizational skills and high-level attention to detail. - Demonstrates a high level of professional integrity. Requirements - Previous experience in the gambling industry (desired but not essential). Responsibilities - Assist with the implementation of the AML program for departments with AML responsibilities. - Act as the 2nd line of defense in AML affairs: monitor escalations made by the Operations team, assess PEP and Sanction alerts, and perform enhanced due diligence checks on customers. - Carry out AML risk assessments of B2B partners in accordance with the Company’s internal policies and procedures. - Liaise with local authorities (ONJN, ONPCSB, Police, etc.) on any AML/CFT related inquiries. - Report suspicious activity to the Romanian FIU (ONPCSB) via its online platform. - Assess and investigate any potential risks or violations of the AML Program. - Aid in the improvement of tools used to monitor, analyze, and report suspicious activity. We operate ~26 provider integrations across three runtimes (Elixir, Node.js, Erlang) and are the critical path for Superbet entering new markets. This role is a key part of our capacity plan. You'll join a small but high-impact team and immediately contribute to real challenges: rebuilding our game platform into a scalable, multi-studio platform, and accelerating integration delivery so Superbet launches in new countries faster. What You'll Be Working - Elixir platform migration: Contributing to the migration of our Node.js/Erlang integrations to the new Elixir-based platform. Feature parity across runtimes is a blocker for many localizations today. - Game Studio Integrations: Owning the full lifecycle of new provider integrations (launchUrl, authenticate, balance, debit, credit, void) from implementation through production sign-off. - Platform architecture: Implementing CI/CD pipelines, shared services, and the modular architecture needed to support multiple exclusive gaming studios at scale. - Operational excellence: Keeping KTLO (keeping the lights on) under 10% of team capacity while maintaining high availability across all 26+ live integrations.
