Role Description Stac Labs is seeking a talented, hardworking, and energetic person to join our team as a Data Technologist. The Data Technologist will be responsible for building and maintaining stac's relationships directly with a handful of state parties and ensuring they are fully leveraging stac's full suite of services. Qualifications - Strong data analytics skills: Knowledge of database technology, warehousing, and integration, with advanced training in data analytics and management. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, CRMs, and SQL databases. - Experience working in a technical capacity: Experience in an organization's technical or data team with relevant project management systems, using Github, writing clean, commented code, and documenting technical processes. - Great communication skills: Ability to synthesize and explain complex data reports in layperson's terms, both verbally and in writing. Working knowledge of data visualization and reporting programs. - Strong self-organization skills: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously using well-documented processes. - Strong account management skills: Experience serving as a primary point of contact for external clients, managing relationships with professionalism and care. - Great collaboration skills: Ability to proactively seek solutions in coordination with team members and share feedback on work progress. - A positive attitude and the ability to work well under pressure: Experience in busy/high-pressure situations, especially during election seasons. - Proactive, creative problem solving: Good instincts for anticipating challenges and willingness to think creatively. - Ability to travel: Expected travel is no more than 10% for campaign planning and trainings. - Access to reliable, fast internet: Required for effective communication in a fully remote team. Requirements - Experience working with campaigns, state parties, the Democratic National Committee, or other electoral entities. - Experience with data warehouses, such as Google Big Query and DNC's Phoenix databases. - Experience utilizing data models. - Experience working with voter data and knowledge of VAN/Votebuilder. - Experience working in a fully remote team. - Experience as an account manager in a services organization. - Experience with agile development and project management. - Experience with mapping software, such as GIS, QGIS, or Mapbox. - Experience with data visualization tools, such as Hex, Data Studio, Periscope, or Tableau. - Experience using and troubleshooting relational organizing campaign apps, such as Hustle, Reach, Mobilize, etc. - Experience using Github and version control. - Proficient understanding of best practices around data security and managing sensitive voter data. - Experience writing clean, commented code or queries and documenting technical processes. - A desire to expand technical and political skills with support from organizational professional development. Benefits - Salary range: $94,000 - $124,000, depending on experience. - Comprehensive benefits package including healthcare, vision, dental, and 401k with a match.
