Position Title: Associate Director of Donor Relations. Department: Donor Relations. Northfield MN FTE: 1.0. Work Schedule: The standard 40-hour work schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; flexible work arrangements can be proposed and are subject to approval by HR and relevant supervisors. Some evening and weekend hours required for special events and program needs. Work Location: Hybrid. WFH 1-2 days a week. Will work on campus fully for the first three months. Salary Range: $56,000 - $63,000. Essential Job Duties: - Plan, implement, and manage programs and events that acknowledge, recognize, and inform donors about their gifts to the college. - Plan, execute, and track donor journeys for annual giving, endowed fund, and legacy society donors, including strategies to welcome donors and increase retention, upgrades, and acquisition; gratitude and impact touches; monitoring and evaluating progress toward goals. - Create and oversee the execution of stewardship and recognition events including the Christmas Festival Leadership Dinners, student-focused engagement and donor events, legacy giving society events, fundraising campaign events, and donor-involved dedications of campus programs and spaces. - Oversee and implement the milestone giving recognition process to recognize the College's most important philanthropists at key moments in their giving history. - Working in collaboration with Prospect Research and Development Officers, implement tiered stewardship and recognition for principal and major donors as assigned. - Execute and monitor naming opportunities and agreements, plaques, and signage. - Track and analyze metrics for events and programs. Use principles of continuous improvement to increase event and program effectiveness. - Foster lasting relationships between the College and its benefactors by offering excellent customer service. - Coordinate and contribute to the production of donor stories, impact features, and other communications that highlight the impact of scholarships, internship support, research funding, etc. - Manage student workers for Donor Relations. - Perform other duties as assigned. - Support, respect, and commit to embracing diverse backgrounds, values, and points of view to build a strong and inclusive community. - Complete and meet deadlines for required training and performance management cycle. - Perform other duties as assigned. Supervision Received and Exercised: - Reports to the Director of Donor Relations and Communications. - This position supervises student workers. Required Qualifications: - Education: - Bachelor's degree; maintain a valid driver's license and meet St. Olaf College driver authorization criteria with a satisfactory driving record. - Experience: - 5+ years of experience in donor relations, fundraising, events management, project management, or relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications: - Education: - Bachelor's degree; maintain a valid driver's license and meet St. Olaf College driver authorization criteria with a satisfactory driving record. - Experience: - Experience with donor events and communications; experience with donor experience programs; experience with Raiser's Edge or similar customer relationship management software. The Community Development department is responsible for engaging with, educating, and supporting all community members about planned developments. The Community Development Special Projects Assistant student worker(s) will be specifically involved in reaching out to young people, particularly those at high schools and colleges in Northfield, along with a special focus on the growing Latine community. The Department has a great opportunity for student workers to support ongoing outreach by working across teams to implement a community engagement program, focused on meaningful relationships with all those who live, work, play, or go to school in Northfield. Student workers will also develop the following skills: - Public speaking and professional written communications; - Working in both office and field environments; - Independent professional work and time management; - Working with diverse peers in small groups; - Spanish language proficiency, including translation and interpretation (Spanish/English). Duties - Learn and communicate knowledge about the City of Northfield’s plans and processes; - Create civic engagement and educational/informational content; - Conduct outreach with diverse populations; - Create education materials and engage with community members of all ages and abilities; - Other administrative tasks performed as necessary; and - Event support as interest, skill level, and time allows. Qualifications - Great interpersonal communication skills; - Interest/curiosity about government, advocacy, sustainability, community engagement, history, geography, urban planning, transportation, economics, or real estate; - Attention to accuracy and detail; ability to keep track of hours and manage time well - Familiarity with visual communications tools; - Creativity, flexibility, adaptability; - Problem-solving and decision-making skills; - Familiarity with social media platforms. Hours Hours are flexible and can be agreed upon at the start of each academic term. Assigned hours are not to exceed the students’ awarded hours: a maximum of 8 hours per week for first-year students and 10 hours per week for sophomores through seniors. Transportation to off-campus work site: Students are responsible for getting themselves to and from their work site. This position can be completed either remotely or in-person; if in person, the worksite is a 2-mile (~20 min) walk from campus.
