• Develops and coordinates the delivery of coding educational programs. • Promotes consistency and accuracy of coding and documentation practices. • Acts as a liaison for coding questions and concerns between providers, coding, corporate responsibilities, and educational departments. • Drives optimal clinical and financial outcomes through thorough assessment of provider documentation and coding competency, identification of improvement opportunities. • Develops and delivers training and education of all coding processes. • Stays abreast of regulatory changes and works with leadership to ensure compliance and revenue integrity. • Act as subject matter expert for providers and coders while providing guidance and clarification on issues which present in their daily account processing. • Establishes and coordinates internal quality review processes and corresponding training for providers and coders. • Evaluates provider documentation for clarity, completeness and consistency to ensure optimal code selection. • Provides education to providers on coding guidelines, practices and documentation techniques. • Performs audits of provider documentation to identify opportunities or risks. • Develops provider education based on findings and needs. • Maintains clear and consistent communication with coding and corporate responsibility around education and directions provided to both providers and coders. • Performs other duties as assigned.

• Coordinates scheduling and referrals to other healthcare providers and services. Obtains approval for schedule changes or cancellations as appropriate. • Assists with maintenance and updating of provider contact information. • Ensures that all medical appointments, special instructions and patient information is entered into electronic medical system. • Follows site-specific protocols and maintains up-to-date documentation to ensure compliance. • Performs other duties as assigned.

Role Description Responsible for coding and abstracting inpatient accounts in accordance with coding guidelines. - Assigns accurate diagnostic and procedure codes according to clinical documentation and official coding guidelines for inpatient hospital accounts. - Coordinates with the clinical documentation and quality teams to ensure validation of Medicare Severity Diagnosis Related Group (MSDRG), patient safety indicators, and hospital acquired conditions are supported by physician documentation to support appropriate coding. - Monitors assigned work queues to ensure all records are charged in a timely manner. - Generates coding queries for clarification regarding physician documentation as needed. - Stays abreast of all changes in coding conventions and coding updates. - Performs other duties as assigned. • Assists in daily resolution of work queue/edits that are holding patient claims from billing by reviewing applicable documentation. • Identifies, reports, with escalation as needed, and participates in the resolution of any potential or actual revenue/charge related issues. • Identifies areas of common practice and implements opportunities for standardization. • Monitors EPIC Revenue Integrity Dashboard(s) in collaboration with ministry liaisons to manage and report out weekly for leadership/colleagues. • Responds to departmental charging inquiries. • Provides support for assigned ministries in collaboration with Revenue Integrity Analysts. • Works with coding and other clinical departments to identify/fix errors based on ICD/CPT coding guidelines and National Correct Coding Initiative (NCCI) edits. • Contributes to improvement initiatives as directed by department leaders, focusing on WQ accuracy of rules, naming conventions and assignments, and KPIs for performance as assigned.

• Configures, implements, supports and maintains applications and technical integrations, specifically Epic applications, to meet the needs of the organization. • Serves as a coordinator and collaborates with business operations, information technology, leadership, system users and vendors. • Builds requirements and translates into configuration and business process changes, using knowledge of standard workflows. • Provides routine maintenance and standard build for Epic applications and systems using existing internal processes, policies and procedures. • Provides technical knowledge analyzing Epic vendor software updates and the impact to the business for Epic applications. • Troubleshoots and resolves basic to moderately complex application issues and provides end-user support for Epic applications. • Codes complex functions including building application tables and reports for Epic applications. • Updates testing scripts to incorporate ongoing system development and implementations. • Acts as a resource for Epic colleagues with less experience. Role Description This Part-time, 28-hours day shift Scheduler position will support Cardio/Sleep/Pulm. Training will be at an SSM Wisconsin location for up to six months until metrics are met, then able to be remote. Ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and prior scheduling experience.
