Title: Senior Demand Planner Location: USCA > USA > Colorado > Denver HQ - VFC Job Description: What will you do? A day in the life of a Senior Demand Planner at Smartwool looks a little like this. The Smartwool Demand Planner is a key player in the Demand Planning & Supply Chain process. This incumbent develops, monitors, and provides a rolling forecast by utilizing statistical forecasting tools, historical data, and sales projections from cross-functional partners and customers for a strategic business unit. The Demand Planner has a leadership role in the S&OP consensus meetings. Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more. - Create accurate demand plans by utilizing statistical forecasting tools, historical data, and sales projections from cross-functional partners and customers for a strategic business unit - Prepare and facilitate monthly cross-functional demand meetings focused on reaching consensus on the final forecast as part of the S&OP process - Work within forecasting software to ensure world class forecast accuracy through root cause analysis, product life cycle forecasting, determining trends, and exception based forecasting - Report forecast accuracy, determine root causes for inaccurate demand plans, recommend, and execute plans to increase demand plan accuracy - Provide all levels of the organization with updated forecasts, including ongoing analyses and interpretation of data. Present information verbally and in written reports - Partner with Supply Planning to develop buy strategies to balance production and minimize capacity constraints - Lead cross-functional process improvements to support increasing customer service levels What do you need to succeed? The foundation skills you will need in this position are: - Strong Excel skills required and knowledge of Logility or other forecasting systems - Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook - Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; strong ability to influence - Proven ability to apply industry Best Practices and “think outside the box” - Self-directed and able to work independently - Exposure to SAP, Brio, and Cognos query tools is a plus - Location requirement: hybrid role; a minimum of 3 days in office. Role Description The Manager, Digital Marketplaces, is responsible for executing brand strategies across all marketplace channels to deliver the commercial objectives. You will be managing both 1P and 3P marketplace relationships, as well as external marketing agency and content teams. The marketplace sales channel lies at the intersection of multiple teams, including sales ops, merchandising, marketing, and commercial; the ability to remotely collaborate with cross-functional teams is critical. You will lead channel strategy, including distribution, product assortments, advertising, revenue plans, OPEX, and most importantly, people. As the leader of Smartwool and icebreaker’s marketplace channel, you will be responsible for consistently communicating marketplace feedback and channel-specific needs to inform stakeholders and all aspects of the go-to-market process. This role reports to the Director, US Wholesale Sales, Smartwool and icebreaker. What You'll Do - Lead the marketplace strategy to achieve commercial targets and ensure a brand-right, and best-in-class consumer experience - Collaborate with the product and merchandising teams to develop channel-right assortments - Lead the external advertising team and strategy to optimize consumer experience and drive awareness - Develop and execute seasonal search and display advertising strategy in partnership with wholesale marketing and external partnerships - Develop and present channel insights and future strategic initiatives to leadership - This role requires travel, especially during the peak selling times of October and May What Success Looks Like - Consistent and accurate performance against commercial revenue targets - Creation and performance against a multi-year strategic business plan - Effective management of channel inventory - Development of strong internal cross-functional relationships that creates advocacy and enables collaboration - Development of strong relationships with external stakeholders, that enables execution of priorities Qualifications - BA or BS degree in Business, Marketing or related field of study - 6+ years of sales experience, preferably in Amazon or a relevant digital retailer - Demonstrated record of successfully managing and growing a marketplace business with experience managing an extensive, segmented product range - Consumer understanding and competitive market knowledge as it relates to digital platforms - Experience creating and executing Amazon search and display ad strategies - Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to execute multiple projects on a seasonal basis - Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills - Excellent MS Office skills with a focus on analysis and presentation - A team and customer-first attitude, with a high level of dedication Requirements - Hiring Range: $96,000.00 USD - $120,000.00 USD annually - Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. - Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
