Role Description Are you the dynamic Senior Sustainability Engineer we are looking for? This position will support the sustainability efforts of the Skanska USA Building. The Senior Sustainability Engineer will: - Work with Project Teams to educate them on project responsibilities and green building strategies, systems, and standards. - Ensure proper tracking and documentation of project sustainability goals towards certification-based efforts (LEED, WELL, Living Building Challenge, etc.). - Lead the collection and reporting of carbon data in response to milestone reduction goals for 2030 and 2045. - Coach junior Sustainability Engineers and project teams on reduction tactics. - Support training and research for the Green Project Solutions team. - Assist in the success of junior Sustainability Engineers. Qualifications - 4+ years of building construction or sustainability-related experience. - 3+ years of experience with the LEED certification process for a minimum of two building projects. - 1+ years of experience benchmarking used in carbon emissions tracking concerning construction processes. - 1+ years of experience applying common terminology used in LEED and other certification programs. - 1+ years of experience creating forms, templates, and meeting materials. - Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Environmental Management, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Urban Planning, Architecture, or another job-related field, or 6 years equivalent experience plus a minimum of 4 years prior relevant experience. - Currently, the company is not considering applicants for this position who now or in the future require employment sponsorship by the company.
