Role Description Shapeshifter Games is looking for an experienced Technical Artist to support UI on an exciting partner project. In this role, you will collaborate within a strike team implementing UI layouts and designs within Unreal Engine. Your work will be part of a new project from our partners who are well-known leaders in their genre. This is a fully remote contract position. - Own the UI implementation for your team - Drive feature and development challenges to resolution - Collaborate with Design, Engineering, and UI Art to implement UI/UX layouts and implement presentation behavior - Work closely with UI Engineers to implement blueprint logic where appropriate - Debug blueprints and UMG issues - Ensure UI assets are within performance and memory constraints Qualifications - 4 years in game development, with at least 2 years of experience as a technical artist or technical designer supporting UI teams in Unreal - Designed, prototyped, and implemented UI layouts from paper design to ship within Unreal - Proficient with Unreal Blueprints and UMG - Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to communicate well between technical and non-technical teams - Motivated self-starter who asks for help when needed
