Service Credit Union is seeking a Content Marketing Specialist who will be responsible for creating written content to support Service Credit Union’s business goals. This position will partner with the Creative Manager, Product Marketing Manager and Digital Marketing Manager to develop and implement a data-driven content strategy in support of member growth and retention. Compensation: Starting at $70,000. Negotiable with experience. Position Responsibilities: - Create, curate, and manage compelling content across various platforms, including website, email campaigns, SMS, digital media, retail, etc. - Collaborate with digital marketing team to understand target audiences and create personalized, data-driven content for Service Credit Union website and email campaigns. - Work closely with the Creative Manager and Graphic Designer to ensure cohesive messaging across all types and sizes of deliverables. - Work with digital marketing team to monitor, track, analyze, and report campaign performance, provide key findings to stakeholders, and utilize the results to refine and improve future campaigns. - Ensure all content adheres to Service Credit Union’s brand guidelines and tone of voice. - Design, test, and iterate AI-assisted content strategies including prompt engineering, content generation, and variation testing to efficiently create, refine, and repurpose high-quality, on-brand content across channels (email, display, website, and social). - Continuously evaluate emerging AI platforms and recommend new tools or approaches to improve efficiency and performance. Required Knowledge and Skills: - Bachelor’s degree preferred - ideally in marketing, journalism or mass communications/advertising - Minimum of three years’ experience in marketing, communications or financial services. - Mastery of the English language with a professional competency in copy editing (AP Style preferred) - Exceptional written and oral communication skills, combined with strong interpersonal skills - Customer-centric direct marketing mindset, with the ability to write clear, compelling, and action-oriented copy that builds trust and drives engagement across diverse audience segments - Previous experience writing email, display, paid search and website-specific copy - Ability to create and execute a broad creative copy vision, from daily product-focused emails to big-picture ideas - Experience leveraging AI tools for content creation, editing, and optimization in a professional setting - Comfort working in a test-and-learn environment, using AI to rapidly prototype and iterate content ideas - Strong critical thinking skills to evaluate and improve AI-generated content - Ability to balance efficiency gained through AI with high standards for accuracy, voice, and compliance - Familiarity with email automation platforms such as Salesforce, Marketo or Hubspot preferred - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Required Knowledge and Skills: - Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field of study required. Master’s degree or equivalent business experience a plus. - 5- 8 years in financial services marketing, in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Agency experience is a plus. - Deep understanding of retail banking and financial services products and services. - Experience managing and developing teams. - Familiarity with marketing automation tools (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, Eloqua, Marketo) and CRM systems. - Experience with creative, production, advertising, brand strategy, digital/social media, direct marketing, and general advertising. - Strong understanding of marketing project types, processes, and product marketing team functions. - Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills with attention to detail. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to interact successfully at all levels. - Positive, collaborative, flexible disposition; adept at working independently or as part of a team. - Member-oriented, proactive problem solver. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
