Role Description HaslerRail is looking for a dynamic and motivated Sales Manager (m/f/d) for our Site in Manchester. This position can be worked remotely considering that the person is willing to travel as needed. - Identify and pursue new business opportunities in international railway markets to achieve sales targets for the HaslerRail RailData products. - Supporting Sales Managers in actively promoting RailData products. - Driving HaslerRail Agents to actively promote RailData products and capabilities. - Presenting and demonstrating the RailData solutions to prospective customers, addressing particular use cases and pain points. - Working with selected customer accounts to actively promote product enhancements and, where relevant, upsell additional products. - Ensuring customer satisfaction with selected customer accounts. - Continually seeking to understand the ‘Voice of the Customer’ from a train operators’ perspective. - Working with the RailData software team to provide market insights and feedback on potential product enhancements. - Ensuring the HaslerRail CRM is the single source of truth for RailData opportunities to enable robust reporting and forecasting. - Following standard governance regarding Bid Reviews. - Preparing and delivering compelling proposals to potential customers, showcasing our railway solutions and services. - Attending industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network, promote our brand, and stay updated on industry developments. - Supporting Sales Team Leader and Director of Sales & Marketing regarding budget and strategy whenever needed. Qualifications - Technical degree in Engineering and/or Data Science would be advantageous. - Proven experience in sales and business development within the railway industry or similar sectors. - Proven experience in sales and business development of cloud-based software solutions is a plus. - Strong understanding of global railway markets, technologies, and regulatory environments is a plus. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. - Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. - Willingness to travel internationally as needed (expected 30% on average). - English native speaker or at least C1. Italian, Spanish or other languages are a plus. We’re seeking a strategic and energetic Area Sales Manager for North America to lead our West Coast Electrical Safety Solutions Business Unit’s commercial activities. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in engineering environments, enjoys building momentum, and knows how to create and maintain strong relationships. Main objectives: - Drive sales activities for DC & AC electrical equipment for railways & mass transit systems, mining and other industry sectors in the West Coast of the US market. - Interface with headquarter in Geneva, Switzerland with engineering, sales and other departments to coordinate the sales action in the US. - Expand footprint of Electrical Safety Solutions products in existing and new industry sectors in this region. - Support the product line managers and the marketing department in developing the product economics. Key Responsibilities: - Drive local sales activities with promotion, offer preparation, and acquisition actions. - Present and defense of offers in front of customers and potential partners. - Act as Key Account Manager for major clients. - Execute sales strategies and secure achievement of targets. - Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to take corresponding actions and adjust were required sales strategy. - Collaborate closely with R&D, Product Management, Marketing, and Business Development. - Contribute to product and service evolution through market feedback.
