Role Description The Extensive Support Needs Teacher provides instruction at the elementary, middle, high school and/or adult transition level to students who require remedial and specialized assistance in various areas: - Pre-academic - Academic - Social emotional - Behavioral - Adaptive behavior - Daily living - Pre-vocational - College and career skill areas The teacher plans, develops, organizes, and implements comprehensive individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with a variety of disabilities. School staff will rely on the Extensive Support Needs Teacher to provide consultation and educational services within the area of special education.
