• Supports the design, modification, and commissioning of power system protection and automation schemes. • Works closely with senior engineering staff to learn design standards, tools, and processes. • Assists in developing substation protection schemes and specifying relays for redundant protection systems. • Prepares basic engineering drawings, sketches, and documentation under guidance. • Assists in calculating and programming substation protective relay set points. • Supports commissioning activities by providing field assistance and documentation. • Collaborates with project teams, contractors, and utility personnel to support project execution. • Participates in training and mentorship programs to develop technical skills.

• Independently designing and modifying power system protection and automation schemes • Preparing engineering documentation and supporting commissioning activities • Designing substation protection schemes and specifying relays for use in redundant protection systems • Preparing and reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, and calculations • Performing protective relay coordination studies and programming substation relays • Conducting short-circuit analysis and developing relay settings for electromechanical and microprocessor relays • Providing technical guidance to contractors, clients, and other engineers • Assisting with commissioning of new equipment and troubleshooting existing facilities • Analyzing fault events and preparing sequence-of-events reports • Ensuring all designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and company procedures

• Lead and coordinate field commissioning activities for validation of P&C schemes and equipment testing for high-voltage transmission/distribution substations, power plants, and petrochemical plants. • Develop and execute commissioning test plans, NERC PRC-005 documentation, and compliance activities. • Perform testing, troubleshooting, and validation of AC/DC schematics, CT/PT circuits, relays, instrument transformers, circuit breakers, reclosers, power transformers, and other equipment. • Manage commissioning resources, including scheduling, invoicing coordination, and maintaining test equipment. • Support installation, demolition, and field service efforts as needed. • Build, train, and lead a commissioning field team to meet project and operational requirements. • Collaborate with engineering, project management, contractors, and utility personnel to support safe and efficient project execution. • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and safety requirements. • All other duties as assigned.
