Business Development Manager, Consumer Technology

• Build, foster and maintain relationships with consumer technology companies and device manufacturers to coordinate multi-level partnerships for the collection and recycling of lithium-ion battery materials. Align multiple locations and global stakeholders when necessary. • Serve as the primary point of contact for consumer technology partnership, managing end-to-end account relationships from initial engagement through long-term partnership execution. Understand each partner’s product lifecycle, sustainability commitments, and battery disposal needs to position Redwood as their preferred recycling partner. • Manage the product qualification process with customers, understanding the technical requirements for consumer device battery recycling, and communicate with key stakeholders internally and externally to manage qualification timelines and customers’ expectations. • Accountable for making sure the business is on track – ensuring a strong mix of consumer technology partnerships, that we’re exceeding customer expectations, and that battery material is procured profitably considering sourcing cost, operating costs, and logistics cost to feed the machine that is producing the most sustainable battery materials in the world. • Recognize customers’ product roadmaps and sustainability programs in detail, aligning our resources to the right programs and priorities, as well as identifying future growth opportunities in the consumer electronics battery sourcing space. • Understand customers’ value chain and the influences of each player in the ecosystem. Direct global resources to manage the value chain appropriately as well as negotiate the various contracts (volume, prices, all other T&Cs) with customers. • Own business development and operational oversight for Redwood’s Battery Bin program, including partner pipeline development, outreach, proposals, contracting, and expansion planning. • Identify, prioritize, and develop relationships with Battery Bin host partners, including retailers, municipalities, universities, nonprofits, and public agencies. Evaluate deployment opportunities and lead the end-to-end launch process from partner qualification through go-live and ongoing account management. • Develop partnership models and partner-facing materials for Battery Bin deployments, including grant-funded, leased, sponsored, or paid service structures, as well as pitch decks, implementation guides, FAQs, and related collateral. • Track and report performance across consumer device partnerships and Battery Bin sites, using data to improve partner targeting, operational efficiency, cost-to-serve, and overall program economics. • Coordinate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, logistics, legal, policy, communications, and compliance teams to ensure partnerships and collection programs are compliant, high impact, and operationally sustainable. • Ability to travel 25% when necessary for meetings, tours, site visits, and program launches.

About Redwood Materials Redwood is localizing a global battery supply chain that seamlessly integrates recovery, reuse, and recycling — keeping critical minerals in circulation and driving the energy transition. Founded in 2017, we’re delivering low-cost and large-scale energy storage and producing battery materials in the U.S. for the first time, all from batteries we already have. Senior Software Engineer We're replacing our legacy Oracle ERP and WMS with custom systems at North America's largest battery recycler. You'll be one of the engineers building warehouse management, procurement workflows, ERP integration, and operational applications that power a $3B+ manufacturing operation. After go-live, you'll own and evolve these systems as the company scales. This is a permanent product area, not a project Responsibilities will include: - Own features end-to-end: design, build, test, deploy, and operate in production - Write clean, tested Python and React code and participate in code reviews - Design and build APIs and integrations between systems - Work with domain experts and stakeholders to understand business processes and turn them into working software - Contribute to technical design decisions - Navigate a fast-moving environment where requirements change often and ambiguity is normal - prioritize effectively and adapt without waiting for perfect information - Debug and resolve production issues; monitor and improve system reliability - Collaborate remotely with team and stakeholders; periodic on-site travel (~1 week/quarter) for planning and stakeholder engagement Qualifications: - 5+ years software engineering experience - Strong Python skills; production React experience - Experience building and shipping production applications on AWS - API design and integration patterns - Comfort working independently in a remote-first environment and making pragmatic technical decisions - Strong written communication - you document decisions and communicate async effectively - Availability for periodic travel to Nevada (~1 week/quarter) Preferred Qualifications: - Direct experience with ERP systems, WMS, supply chain software, or procurement platforms - Manufacturing, logistics, or recycling industry experience - Event-driven architecture or workflow orchestration - Enthusiasm for AI-assisted development - Scrappy mindset - you've built under tight timelines and ambiguity - Remote work experience on distributed engineering teams The position is full-time. Role Description Redwood Materials is seeking a VDC intern to support our team during the Summer 2026 timeframe. These roles are at the center of our activities focused on creating a sustainable circular economy for lithium-ion batteries by transforming recycled materials into battery materials for new lithium-ion battery production. - Coordinate and maintain models from the Design Team, Trade Contractors, and third-party vendors, ensuring accuracy, spatial coordination, and timely resolution of issues in line with project deadlines. - Collaborate with engineers, trades, and design professionals to develop an integrated model delivery approach; lead clash detection sessions to optimize construction processes and enhance quality. - Champion the use of advanced BIM technology, providing support and oversight for its effective implementation. - Identify and resolve conflicts in Architectural, Structural, and MEP elements, presenting practical, cost-effective solutions. Qualifications - Currently pursuing a Bachelor's (3rd/4th year) or Master’s (1st year) in Construction Management, Civil, Architectural, or Structural Engineering. - Experience with Revit, Navisworks, and reality capture tools. - Knowledge of scripting or visual programming for automation. - Strong leadership, project management, and problem-solving skills. - Effective communication, organizational, and time-management abilities. - Proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Requirements - Ability to safely perform job duties in both office and production environments. - Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. as needed. - Must maintain regular and punctual attendance in alignment with company and regulatory standards. - Wear proper PPE when necessary. Staff Software Engineer, Factory Infrastructure
