Role Description The Business Development Manager will be responsible for achieving profitable growth performance objectives within their assigned territory (CO and NE). The Business Development Manager is accountable for profitably growing their assigned Workers’ Compensation portfolio by: - Identifying new agency relationships - Building on existing ones - Overall development and management of professional business relationships This role will create and implement tactical plans in support of long-term territory specific strategies. This position offers a home-based work opportunity. The successful candidate must reside in the assigned territory which includes the states of Colorado and Nebraska. Frequent travel with some overnight stays will be required (50-75% travel). Role Description OHARA, LLC has an opening for a full-time Field Based Nurse Case Manager in the Iowa City, IA area. We are driven to facilitate prompt delivery of quality, cost-effective health care to injured workers and coordinate a plan for the earliest opportunity for a safe return to work. - Responsible for coordinating and facilitating case management services to assist injured workers in reaching pre-injury status and/or maximum medical improvement. - Attend appointments with injured workers and providers. - Work closely with injured workers, employer representatives, insurance company claims adjusters, and medical providers. - Assist by performing telephonic case management. This is a work-from-home position, but successful applicants must reside in the Iowa City, IA. Regional travel will be required. Qualifications - Must have a current RN license. - Associate degree and 2 years of clinical practice experience is required. - Previous experience with occupational medicine, orthopedic or neurology is preferred. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Certified Case Manager (CCM) designation or applicable certification is preferred; willingness to obtain CCM designation within 3 years of employment is required. - Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. - Must be able to be on call approximately 3 weeks out of the year. Role Description As a Loss Control Consultant, you will partner with our clients to mitigate exposure and reduce their Workers’ Compensation costs as well as help them to enhance their injury prevention and management programs. - Conduct on-site and virtual surveys and consultations for existing and prospective policyholders’ operations - Identify potential hazards, assess risk factors, and analyze injury data - Prepare and submit reports of findings and recommendations - Implement service plans that address safety, prevention, and mitigation of losses - Evaluate safety programs to determine compliance based on OSHA, DOT, ANSI, and other state and local regulations - Provide services including Industrial Hygiene, Return to Work/Stay at Work, and Ergonomics - Develop industry-specific educational handouts and multimedia - Lead presentations (on-site and virtually) to train groups on safety and ergonomics topics - Work collaboratively with Underwriting and Claims Qualifications - Three or more years of relevant experience or a combination of experience and education in Occupational Health and Safety - Bachelor’s degree is required - Previous insurance Loss Control experience at an insurance carrier or agency preferred - Possession of relevant certifications such as ARM, ASP, CHI, OSHA General Industry, and/or CSP preferred - In-depth knowledge of operational practices for a wide range of industries including agriculture, manufacturing, construction, education, healthcare, services, transportation, and more - Proven decision-making and problem-solving skills - Exceptional customer service and account management skills - Great computer skills and knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook are essential Requirements - Must reside in Nebraska - This is a work-from-home role with frequent travel required - A company vehicle will be provided Benefits - Competitive wage and benefits package including medical, vision, and dental coverage - Paid holidays - PTO - 401K - Much more!
