Senior Risk Analyst, Modeling & Risk Management
Purpose UnlimitedReinventing financial services for the future
• Design and build the governance framework for ML models – accuracy, bias, regulatory defensibility, escalation protocols. • Bring the human judgment no model can replace – and build it into how the function operates. • Build risk strategies designed to improve as AI tooling matures – feedback loops, validation cadences, human checkpoints. • Establish how risk intelligence becomes business decisions – the protocols that connect model outputs to action. • Design the safeguards in from the start – bias, failure modes, regulatory exposure – during the build, not after. • Be the human anchor in a function being redesigned around AI – ensuring accountability and strategic value scale with automation.
• You will be one of the early data science hires shaping how Purpose understands the clients on our wealth platform. • You'll build the measurement architecture, behavioral models, and causal infrastructure that connects product decisions to client outcomes. • Determine what is worth measuring in a platform generating thousands of behavioral signals. • Design AI analytics systems with the rigor of a statistician.
• Own the foundation of the data for AI systems • Join a high-output engineering team focusing on pipelines, data models, and platform infrastructure • Work closely with data scientists, software engineers, and product teams to ensure data accuracy, observability, and scalability • Design data architecture to comply with regulations in a financial environment • Govern AI-generated pipeline code and ensure standards for production safety • Ensure data quality end-to-end, identify root causes, and maintain platforms that evolve as data investments grow
• Own architectural decisions that move latency, uptime, and client-facing quality metrics. • Define tools, workflows, standards for AI-generated code, and how productivity is measured. • Testing standards and observability practices that let the team ship weekly in a SOC 2 environment. • Shared abstractions, state management, platform tech debt, resolved without stalling delivery. • Mentorship, design feedback, and code review that raises the ceiling of what the team can do. • Pressure-test requirements before they become expensive commitments; advocate for technical quality as a driver of client experience. • Review, refine, and ensure production standards, interpret results and make the call, decide what to act on, and shape the thinking ensuring architectural coherence.
