As an Associate, your primary responsibility is to rapidly connect our clients (Private Equity & Consultancy firms) with top industry experts from around the globe. After an intensive training period, you'll be honing and applying a variety of skills, including communication, sales, project management, and negotiation. You won't find a typical 9-to-5 here – we work with some of the world’s most respected investment and professional services firms, and sometimes the role will require going the extra mile and putting in extra hours. The key duties of this role will include: - Understand Client Briefs: Receive and understand various client briefs, conducting initial research into new industries, companies and business topics to ensure a good base level of understanding of your client’s needs. Your business and commercial understanding will grow exponentially. - Expert Sourcing: Having understood the client brief, a large part of your day will be spent sourcing experts on a global scale by: 1) Utilising our AI-driven Platform as a key source to find potential matches from within our existing network and 2) Utilising professional networking sites and other online resources to source new experts to join our network. - Expert Communication: Employing a mix (Calls, Emails, Messaging, etc...) of outbound methods to reach experts, you’ll then engage with and vet to evaluate their suitability for the brief. These interactions are fantastic opportunities to learn more about an industry, build your professional network and hone your negotiation skills. - Project Management: Work closely with your team to meet project deadlines and exceed clients’ expectations. • Define how structured data, semantic understanding, and intelligent systems come together to power discovery across our platform. • Evaluate and define the future search stack (technology selection is part of the role). • Design a scalable, cloud-native search architecture from first principles. • Decide between and combine approaches such as keyword search, vector search, hybrid retrieval, and graph-based retrieval. • Design indexing, data modeling, and ranking strategies. • Define measurable relevance and quality frameworks. • Design and implement a Knowledge Graph architecture modelling entities and relationships. • Define graph schema, linking strategies, and enrichment workflows. • Combine graph-based signals with semantic search and ranking models. • Build extraction pipelines on top of frontier models (OpenAI, Gemini). • Develop modern recommendation systems leveraging structured + unstructured data. • Architect retrieval pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). • Design data pipelines and feature stores using BigQuery or alternative analytical systems. • Ensure scalability, observability, and cost efficiency. • Build production-grade systems, not experiments.

From knowledge graphs to LLM-driven enrichment and recommendation systems, you’ll be at the forefront of building something genuinely cutting-edge — with real impact on how our users experience and navigate information. The key duties of this role will include: - Search Architecture Strategy: - Evaluate and define the future search stack (technology selection is part of the role). - Design a scalable, cloud-native search architecture from first principles. - Decide between and combine approaches such as: - Keyword search - Vector search - Hybrid retrieval - Graph-based retrieval - LLM re-ranking - Design indexing, data modeling, and ranking strategies. - Define measurable relevance and quality frameworks. - Knowledge Graph & Intelligent Retrieval: - Design and implement a Knowledge Graph architecture modeling entities and relationships. - Define graph schema, linking strategies, and enrichment workflows. - Combine graph-based signals with semantic search and ranking models. - Build extraction pipelines on top of frontier models (OpenAI, Gemini). - Develop modern recommendation systems leveraging structured + unstructured data. - Data & Cloud Infrastructure (GCP-first): - Architect retrieval pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). - Design data pipelines and feature stores using BigQuery or alternative analytical systems. - Ensure scalability, observability, and cost efficiency. - Build production-grade systems, not experiments. Qualifications - 5+ years building and scaling production search or retrieval systems. - Strong experience designing search architectures, not just operating them. - Experience evaluating and selecting search technologies. - Experience with semantic search and embeddings-based retrieval. - Experience building pipelines on top of frontier LLMs (OpenAI, Gemini). - Strong Python skills. - Experience leading technical initiatives in mid-sized teams. - Experience working with cloud-native systems (preferably GCP).
