Role Description Prepare Medical is seeking a driven and community-connected Indigenous Community Business Development Representative (BDR) to help us expand access to NIHB-covered emergency medical kits across First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities in British Columbia. This is a meaningful, flexible contract role that combines relationship-building with purpose-driven work. As our Indigenous Community Liaison and BDR, you will serve as a trusted bridge between Prepare Medical and the communities we serve — helping community members and health administrators understand how to access life-saving emergency medication supplies at no out-of-pocket cost through NIHB. Key Responsibilities - Build and nurture relationships with Indigenous community leaders, health directors, Band offices, and community health representatives (CHRs) across BC - Educate communities and health administrators on Prepare Medical’s NIHB-covered emergency medical kits and the enrollment/ordering process - Identify and develop new community partnerships and business development opportunities - Act as a knowledgeable resource on the NIHB program and how it applies to Prepare Medical’s offerings - Represent Prepare Medical at community events, health fairs, and virtual meetings - Provide feedback from communities to help shape our outreach strategy and product development - Track and report on outreach activities and pipeline progress Qualifications - Existing relationships within First Nations, Métis, or Inuit communities in BC - Familiarity with the NIHB (Non-Insured Health Benefits) program - Strong communication, relationship-building, and community engagement skills - Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote contract role - Understanding of Indigenous community health priorities, structures, and protocols - Experience in sales, business development, community health, or health administration is an asset - Lived experience, community connection, and or cultural grounding that strengthens community practice will be an asset Compensation & Details - Employment Type: Contract (Independent Contractor) - Location: BC-Based — Remote/Work from Home with community travel as needed - Compensation: Contract base rate + commission on successful community enrollments and kit orders - Schedule: Flexible — manage your own hours and outreach Benefits - This role is more than a sales position — it’s an opportunity to make a tangible difference in community health and emergency preparedness. - You’ll help ensure that Indigenous families and communities across BC have access to physician-approved emergency medical supplies at no cost to them, removing barriers to care in areas that need it most.
