Role Description The Vice President/Chief of Clinical Operations is responsible for providing strategic direction, leadership, and oversight of all clinical operations across Ponos Care. This role ensures clinical services are delivered efficiently, meet regulatory and quality standards, and support improved patient outcomes across diverse populations. - Provide executive oversight of clinical operations across all programs in unison with Chief Medical Officer - Develop and execute clinical strategies aligned with value-based care and population health goals - Implement scalable, patient-centered care delivery models and drive innovation/integration across clinical regional service lines - Establish and monitor clinical benchmarks (HEDIS, NCQA, value-based metrics) - Lead quality improvement initiatives and outcome optimization - Ensure continuous improvement in care coordination and clinical performance - Ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer requirements - Maintain adherence to HIPAA, patient safety, and documentation standards - Oversee audit readiness, accreditation, and risk mitigation efforts - Optimize clinical workflows, productivity, and resource utilization - Monitor performance metrics and implement process improvements - Lead and develop Directors, Nurse Managers, and clinical leadership teams - Build leadership pipeline and support organizational growth - Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement - Partner with executive leadership, analytics, and compliance teams - Support payer relationships and strategic partnerships - Drive clinical innovation and expansion of care delivery programs Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related field - Master’s degree required (MSN, MHA, MPH, MBA or related field) - Active RN license strongly preferred - 10+ years’ experience in clinical operations or healthcare leadership - 5+ years’ experience in senior leadership role - Experience with value-based care, Medicaid, or population health programs preferred - Experience managing multi-level clinical leadership teams - Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory and quality standards Requirements - Program Outcomes & Clinical Performance – 40% - Compliance & Risk Management – 30% - Operational Efficiency & Team Performance – 30% Benefits - Achievement of clinical benchmarks (HEDIS, NCQA, value-based metrics) - Reduction in avoidable hospital utilization - Improved population health and care coordination outcomes - 100% adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements - Successful audit readiness and outcomes (100% compliance target) - Reduction in regulatory and operational risk exposure - Clinical workflow efficiency and productivity improvement - Achievement of operational performance benchmarks - Leadership effectiveness (including ~98% retention target & engagement of clients per nurse) Company Description Ponos Care is a physician-led, value-based healthcare organization committed to improving outcomes for individuals living with chronic, inflammatory, and immune-related conditions.
