Role Description PSG (An EPIC owned company) is seeking a Sr. Clinical Consultant to provide consultative, clinically grounded guidance to payer clients in the rapidly evolving drug management market. This role combines deep clinical expertise with rigorous, data-driven analysis to shape clinical strategy, evaluate pharmacy and medical benefit programs, and deliver clear, actionable recommendations that improve outcomes and reduce total cost of care. An ideal candidate is a confident individual contributor and trusted advisor—detail oriented, highly collaborative, and able to translate complex clinical and financial information into executive-ready insights. - Consultative Clinical Strategy: Partner with payer clients as a trusted clinical advisor to design and refine drug management strategies across benefits and channels (pharmacy and medical), informing PBM and coverage decisions with evidence-based, practical recommendations. - Vendor Clinical Program Evaluation: Assess and benchmark PBM and other industry vendor clinical programs (e.g., utilization management, specialty management, care management) using clinical evidence, operational feasibility, and performance data to inform optimization opportunities and client recommendations. - Data-Driven Clinical Insights: Leverage medical and pharmacy data to assess program performance, identify trend drivers and outliers (e.g., high-cost claims, site of care, utilization patterns), and translate findings into targeted clinical strategies and measurable recommendations. - Pipeline and Trend Advisory: Monitor emerging therapies, clinical guidelines, and market dynamics; model potential client impact and provide proactive, consultative guidance on readiness, coverage strategy, and program design. - Cross-Functional Delivery: Collaborate with analytics, consulting, and enterprise partners to develop clinically sound deliverables—linking data, evidence, and operational realities into clear client stories, recommendations, and implementation considerations. - Client Advisory Partnership: Build and maintain senior client relationships; serve as a highly visible subject matter expert who can facilitate discussions, pressure-test options, and guide decision-making with clinically credible, financially informed recommendations. - Thought Leadership: Strengthen PSG’s market presence by distilling complex clinical and industry trends into pragmatic points of view (e.g., blogs, client education, webinars, and speaking engagements) that help clients act on insights. Qualifications - Pharmacy degree required (RPh or PharmD) - MBA or other advanced business/healthcare degree a plus - 5+ years of experience in a health plan/payer, PBM, specialty pharmacy, or consulting environment with responsibility for drug management strategy, clinical programs, and/or benefit design - 5+ years of client-facing experience (account management, consulting, or clinical advisory) with a demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and present recommendations to senior leadership - Demonstrated expertise in specialty drug management (e.g., utilization management, site of care, biosimilars, formulary/coverage strategy, and clinical policy) - Medical benefit specialty drug experience strongly preferred (e.g., buy-and-bill, J-code management, prior authorization, site-of-care optimization) - Strong analytical skillset, including experience interpreting medical and pharmacy claims and translating results into clear, actionable clinical strategies and recommendations - Collaborative, team-first approach with the ability to partner effectively with analysts, consultants, and clinical stakeholders to deliver high-quality client work - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create executive-ready deliverables and clearly explain complex clinical and financial concepts - Ability to lead and facilitate client discussions, working sessions, and clinical reviews with internal and external stakeholders - Proven ability to build credibility quickly and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted clinical advisor - Strong presentation skills, including the ability to communicate data-driven clinical insights and recommendations to diverse audiences - Solutions-oriented and self-directed, with strong judgment and the ability to work through ambiguity, prioritize effectively, and deliver high-impact recommendations - Ability to operate effectively in a decentralized/remote work environment, managing time and deliverables with minimal oversight - Flexible for travel and client-facing activities (estimated 15%) Benefits - Generous Paid Time off - Managed PTO for salaried/exempt employees (personal time off without accruals or caps); 22 PTO days starting out for hourly/non-exempt employees; 12 company-observed paid holidays; 4 early close days - Generous leave time options: Paid parental leave, pregnancy disability and bonding leave, and organ donor/bone marrow donor leave - Generous employee referral bonus program of $1,500 per hired referral - Quarterly employee recognition program for demonstrating EPIC’s values plus additional employee recognition awards and programs (and trips!) - Employee Resource Groups: Women’s Coalition, EPIC Veterans Group - Professional growth & development: Mentorship Program, Tuition Reimbursement Program, Leadership Development - Unique benefits such as Pet Insurance, Cancer Insurance, Identity Theft & Fraud Protection Coverage, Legal Planning, Family Planning, and Menopause & Midlife Support - Additional benefits include (but are not limited to): 401(k) matching, medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and wellness & employee assistance programs - 50/50 Work Culture: EPIC fosters a 50/50 culture between producers and the rest of the business, supporting collaboration, teamwork, and an inclusive work environment. - EPIC Gives Back – Some of our charitable efforts include Donation Connection, Employee Assistance Fund, and People First Foundation
