• Conduct on-site loss control surveys and virtual consultations to evaluate operations, identify hazards, and recommend solutions that reduce risk and improve safety • Collaborate closely with insureds, underwriting, claims teams, and agents to provide expert guidance on potential loss sources • Deliver training and prepare detailed reports to assist in underwriting decisions • Complete all required reports and documentation pertaining to account visits • Visit accounts’ facilities in order to understand the operations, hazards/exposures, and determine the effectiveness of safety programs • Determine compliance and evaluate safety programs based on OSHA, NFPA, DOT, ANSI and other codes • Conduct agency visits to promote specific loss control services • Provide loss control consulting services for written accounts • Conduct basic Industrial Hygiene and Health surveys, such as noise and ergonomic assessments • Attend branch large loss meetings and other meetings requiring loss control expertise • Develop, submit and discuss recommendations with customers to improve conditions

• Develop the agency force to pre-qualify, rate, and bind profitable commercial lines business • Utilize authority to assist agency partners in helping them write profitable business • Develop professional working relationships with agents, regional underwriting and claim teams and corporate departments • Conduct thorough evaluation of all prospective agents • Keeps two-way communication between agent and company continuously open and viable • Monitors agency results and follows up with agent as to growth and compliance with company’s initiatives • Stays alert for and shares industry information, new ideas, products, or changes that could positively or adversely affect Penn National Insurance • Conduct ongoing agency prospecting within territory to create a pipeline of potential future appointments

• Strengthen and grow partnerships with independent insurance agents • Serve as a key liaison between the company, agents, and internal underwriting and corporate teams • Develop agency force to pre-qualify, rate, and bind profitable personal lines business • Conduct thorough evaluation of prospective agents • Profile personal lines book of business for profitability analysis • Provide training to agency plant on programs, products, services, and systems • Monitor agency results and follow up with agent performance
