New Zealand - North Island Field Sales Representative Job Description Since launching the world’s first portable wood-pellet pizza oven in 2012, Ooni has grown into an award-winning, multinational company with a product range loved by pizza makers and food enthusiasts all over the globe. As such, we’re on the lookout to expand our sales team and ultimately help as many people as possible experience our trailblazing cooking products. A Little About the Role: The NZ North Island Field Sales Representative is responsible for driving sell-in and sell-through performance across an assigned territory. This role focuses on strengthening store-level relationships, ensuring brand excellence in retail environments, and equipping retail partners with the knowledge and tools needed to successfully represent our products. The ideal candidate has prior experience in a field sales or territory management role, thrives in a fast-paced retail environment, and is passionate about building strong partnerships. That includes in-person product demos where you’ll be firing up Ooni products to bring customers on the ultimate culinary journey. This role will be based remotely in the North Island, and you will spend 50%+ of your time on the road, some of which may involve interstate travel. As we’re growing at speed here in ANZ, the needs of the company are always evolving and the successful applicant will help that through innovation, problem solving, and seeing what is coming. Your ability to be flexible, adaptable and proactive will be critical to our success. The Job: Retail Relationship Management - Visit assigned retail locations regularly (e.g. weekly) to maintain strong in-store relationships. - Act as the primary point of contact for store managers, department leads, and sales associates. - Communicate current programs, promotions, and priorities clearly and consistently. - Assess store needs, provide solutions, and escalate issues when appropriate. Sales Execution & Performance - Drive sell-in by supporting product placement, ordering, and inventory management. - Drive sell-through by ensuring store associates are trained, engaged, and confident in selling Ooni products. - Identify opportunities for incremental sales, expanding assortments, and additional placements. - Monitor inventory levels, pricing execution, and competitive activity in each location. Merchandising & Brand Standards - Ensure displays, signage, and overall brand presence meet company guidelines. - Execute product resets, install new merchandising materials, and maintain planogram compliance. - Capture photos and document store conditions for internal reporting and follow-up. Training & Education - Train retail associates on product features, benefits, selling points, and key differentiators. - Deliver ongoing refresher training during store visits. - Serve as a product expert and trusted resource for retail staff to improve customer engagement and conversion. Events, Demos & Tradeshows - Conduct on-site product demos to drive consumer awareness and sales. - Support and execute local events, retail activations, and industry tradeshows. - Represent the Ooni brand professionally and confidently in all public-facing interactions. Operational & Administrative - Plan and maintain weekly visit schedules and efficient territory routing. - Submit visit reports, photos, and metrics in a timely manner. - Track and report on KPIs, including store visit frequency, sell-through performance, and training completion. - Collaborate with the NZ general manager on territory strategy and identify opportunities. Apply if you: - Have previous experience as a Territory Rep, Field Sales Rep, or similar retail-focused role. Consumer goods sales experience/knowledge preferred. - Have experience with merchandising, product training, and retail operations - Hold a valid driver’s license - Have the ability to safely lift and move products as and when needed to ensure our products are staged properly (typically weighing up to 20+kg with or without reasonable accommodation). - Are extremely organised, self-motivated, and capable of working independently. - Thrive on challenges, especially where the solution is not immediately obvious. - Have a proven ability to achieve strategic sales targets. - Can manage a large geographic territory and travel extensively throughout your region. - Are comfortable performing demo-style product presentations - Demonstrate strong relationship-building and communication skills. - Bring a consistent, positive, can-do, growth mindset. - Have an authentic passion for pizza and both indoor & outdoor cooking. As part of our growth strategy, we’re looking for a Senior Key Account Manager with a creative, team-oriented mindset to add to our roster. This role will be responsible for building, managing, and growing relationships with Ooni’s largest and most strategic retail partners. Acting as a trusted advisor to key customers, you will drive both sell-in and sell-through performance by combining deep collaboration, data-driven insights, and strong execution. You will own the overall account strategy for assigned national accounts, leveraging POS data, forecasting, demand planning, and open-to-buy insights to influence joint business planning and long-term growth. The Job: Account Leadership & Relationship Management - Own and manage relationships with assigned national and strategic accounts at multiple levels, including merchant, buyer, planning, and replenishment teams - Establish Ooni as a trusted, value-added partner through consistent communication, proactive insights, and reliable execution - Lead regular business reviews, joint business planning, and strategic growth discussions Sales Strategy & Growth - Develop and execute annual account plans aligned with company objectives and retailer priorities - Drive revenue growth through line reviews, new product launches, assortment optimization, and promotional planning - Identify whitespace opportunities within assortments, channels, and programs - Identify, evaluate, and open new account opportunities that align with North American brand values and long-term growth strategy. - Extensive experience managing eCommerce retail accounts with heavy digital and ecommerce presence, owning end-to-end online performance, including digital assortment, pricing architecture, promo execution, replenishment, and gross-to-net management. - Deep understanding of brick and mortar as well as eCommerce fundamentals, including digital shelf optimization for complex SKUs, availability and fulfillment performance, and lifecycle management for new item launches, resets, and discontinuations. - Proven track record driving profitable online growth by leveraging retail media, promo effectiveness analysis, and operational KPIs, while partnering cross-functionally with supply chain, category management, marketing, and finance teams. - Deep expertise in both eCommerce and brick-and-mortar retail, with a strong understanding of how customers research and shop across channels and the key drivers of success in both digital and in-store environments. Data, Analytics & Insights - Analyze POS data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities related to sell-through, inventory, pricing, and promotions. - Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for both internal teams and retail partners - Monitor KPIs, including sell-in vs. sell-through, inventory turns, weeks of supply, and forecast accuracy Demand Planning & Forecasting - Partner with demand planning, supply chain, and finance teams to align forecasts with customer needs - Support retailer forecasting, open-to-buy planning, and inventory strategies to ensure optimal in-stock positions - Anticipate demand shifts and proactively manage risks related to inventory, fill rates, and service levels Cross-Functional Collaboration - Act as the primary liaison between the customer and internal teams, including marketing, operations, finance, demand planning, and product development - Ensure customer needs and feedback are clearly communicated internally and reflected in execution plans - Support retailer training, merchandising initiatives, and promotional execution as needed Apply if you: - Have 6+ years of account management experience, with demonstrated success as a Key Account Manager, Senior Key Account Manager, or equivalent role leading complex, high-value accounts. - Consumer goods wholesale experience/knowledge preferred. - Bring significant experience managing strategic retail accounts with multiple stakeholders. - Are proficient in POS data, retail analytics platforms, and core commercial systems, including SPS, NetSuite, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace packages. - Have a strong understanding of demand planning, forecasting, open-to-buy, and retail inventory management. - Have a proven track record of managing complex accounts with multiple stakeholders and long sales cycles - Demonstrated the ability to build trust, influence decisions, and drive mutually beneficial outcomes - Think strategically and are skilled at long-term account planning - Possess strong analytical and financial acumen - Excel in communication, presentation, and negotiation skills - Are highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively. - Are comfortable operating independently while collaborating cross-functionally - Are happy to travel as required (30%) to meet with accounts, attend events/tradeshows, and travel to our HQ in Austin, Texas. - Love pizza.
