Role Description The Instructional Technology Specialist role is responsible for designing, co-developing, and overseeing the delivery of high-quality, inclusive learning experiences that align with organizational and client needs. The position leverages needs assessments, content analysis, and established instructional design frameworks to create and continuously improve curricula offered for professional development. - Works independently and collaboratively with subject matter experts. - Integrates emerging educational technologies and accessibility standards. - Models best practices in digital learning environments. - Supports professional development initiatives and special projects. - Requires strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Qualifications - 3+ years demonstrated experience with learning management systems and course/program development. - High level of proficiency in instructional technology tools. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. - Excellent organizational and project management skills. - Ability to function well in a high-paced environment. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Requirements - Must possess an accredited Master’s degree in Education, Instructional or Learning Design, Computer Science, Psychology, or related field. - 3+ years full-time experience in instructional design or related field. - Experience teaching and/or co-teaching academic courses and professional development workshops. Preferred Skills/Abilities/Competencies - Familiarity with the goals and mission of OLC. - Familiarity with webpage-editing technologies and languages, including HTML and CSS. - Knowledge and experience with OLC Center for Professional Learning programs. - Verbal and written Spanish fluency preferred. Physical Requirements - Work is performed in a remote home-office setting. - Prolonged periods in a stationary position working on a computer. - Occasionally moves and transports equipment weighing up to 20 pounds. - Frequently communicates with colleagues and clients via virtual meeting software, telephone, and email. Travel Required - Minimal travel may be required.
