Role Description The Financial Analyst will support the critical operations of the Finance and Business Operations team, reporting to the Senior Director and Vice President. In this role, you will drive project-level and organizational budgeting and reporting, and build financial models and tools for ongoing project analysis and quarterly forecasting to ensure NTC remains financially sustainable. By translating complex financial performance and key metrics into clear, actionable summaries, you will empower project and organization leaders to optimize resource use and confidently advance NTC’s strategic goals. What Will You Do - Budget & Forecasting: - Maintain and update financial models, reports, and dashboards. - Assist with budget tracking and forecasting, including monitoring actuals vs. budget. - Support data management to ensure accuracy and integrity across NTC’s ERP systems and platforms. - Support monthly close activities, including reconciliations, accruals, and variance analysis. - Financial Analysis: - Analyze monthly financial results to identify trends, risks, and key performance indicators (KPIs). - Assist in monitoring grant spending down, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely submission of financial reports. - Review and analyze timecard and labor data, including cost allocations and trend analysis. - Track and summarize invoicing, revenue, and delivery status across projects. - Analyze project performance and identify risks such as budget variances, underbilling, or delivery gaps. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field, or 2–4 years of related experience in financial planning and analysis, including exposure to revenue modeling, budgeting, and forecasting. - Curious and proactive, with strong attention to detail and strong organizational and time management skills. - Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets (sorting/filtering, pivot tables, basic formulas) required. - Experience working with cross-functional teams and communicating financial metrics and insights to diverse, non-technical stakeholders. - Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) and CRM platforms, with a preference for experience in NetSuite, OpenAir, and Salesforce. - Exposure to nonprofit finance and an understanding of GAAP are preferred. Role Description Under the supervision of the Senior Director, Impact, the Senior Manager, Measurement and Evaluation will help NTC to better define, measure, and communicate our impact, with special attention on understanding and utilizing district and NTC data. You will facilitate evaluation planning and consultation, logic modeling and survey design, and will engage in qualitative and quantitative data management, analysis, and reporting as part of a broader impact strategy. What Will You Do - Measurement and Evaluation: - Assist in the design, execution, and analysis of major projects, including the development of logic models, evaluation and analysis plans, business requirements, and ongoing support plans. - Prepare and analyze PK-12 data to answer research questions using appropriate methodology. - Select and/or develop survey items or other indicators to evaluate the attainment of program objectives. - Develop, execute, analyze, and report results of client and staff surveys. - Data Management: - Lead large-scale survey and data collection projects from conceptualization and design through data collection, compilation, analysis, and reporting. - Work with PK-12 district staff to obtain necessary approvals for data sharing required for impact evaluation. - Support NTC staff in collecting and analyzing program implementation data, including developing new and improving existing processes. - Utilize data quality assurance protocols to examine the impact of products before release. - Consultation and Communication: - Consult with NTC clients (internal and external) as a data/analytics expert on behalf of the Impact team. - Communicate results to multiple audiences through briefs, slide decks, and reports that effectively utilize data visualization and respond to stakeholder needs. - Leadership/Management: - Strategically align the team’s direction and make data-driven decisions by translating NTC’s overarching strategic plan and organizational goals into clear, actionable goals for their team. - Adapt with courage and creatively navigate shifting dynamics while maintaining focus and flexibility in times of ambiguity. - Champion a strong organizational culture by embodying NTC’s Core Values, building trusting relationships, fostering a sense of belonging, and promoting collaboration and learning. - Serve as a vital link between leadership and their team, ensuring information flows clearly in both directions. - Cultivate growth through ongoing coaching and feedback, conduct formal performance reviews, and have regular discussions to help team members learn, grow, and develop their skills. Qualifications - A Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred. - 5+ years of professional experience conducting or supporting program evaluation, education research, or research in a related field. - Thorough knowledge of and skills in assessing the impact of education programs, including data collection, analysis, and reporting. - Minimum of intermediate statistical analysis skills (e.g., descriptives, inferential statistics), including knowledge of statistical software (SAS preferred), and experience linking datasets. - Experience constructing data displays, charts, and graphs in Microsoft Excel and/or other visualization tools. - Ability to prioritize and work on projects with overlapping timelines, and promptly respond to requests by a variety of stakeholders. - Ability to read, write, and converse fluently in English. - Knowledge of and skills in analyzing and writing about common education data elements (e.g., student achievement data, teacher retention). - Experience with survey sampling and large-scale survey administration, including project and personnel management skills. - Experience with any/all of the following: Qualtrics, SAS Enterprise Guide, Tableau, SQL Server. - Experience summarizing qualitative data (e.g., text fields in data entry forms or surveys). This position is responsible for overseeing the design and implementation of a technology roadmap that enhances NTC’s ability to deliver high-quality educator support through emerging technologies, including AI, while ensuring alignment with our strategic goals and commitment to teaching and learning as fundamentally human work. What Will You Do: Some responsibilities and duties may vary, but the role of an SD, Technology includes: Technology Strategy and Leadership - Lead the conceptualization and implementation of NTC’s technology roadmap and AI strategy, cultivating stakeholder buy-in to accelerate the organization’s Theory of Change and mission. - Serve as the primary convener for the internal AI Taskforce and external strategic partnerships, aligning cross-functional teams and technology providers on technical visions, project requirements, and implementation plans. - Partner with Program and other internal teams to evaluate and integrate emerging technologies into NTC’s core offerings (e.g., teacher induction, instructional coaching, leadership development, curriculum implementation, assessment), establishing sustainable pathways for scaling both core programmatic enhancements and innovative new work. - Act as a technical spokesperson and external liaison, leveraging speaking engagements and networking with like-minded organizations and EdTech innovators to co-develop ethical solutions and strengthen NTC’s market position. - Oversee NTC’s assessment and experimentation with emerging technologies, ensuring technical solutions are effective for staff and partners while acting as a catalyst for organizational innovation and increased staff efficiency. Systems, Security, and Data Governance - Lead NTC’s cybersecurity posture and data governance by serving as a primary technical point of contact for district data privacy and security agreements (e.g., FERPA, COPPA). - Oversee the technical architecture and integration of NTC’s enterprise SaaS environment, ensuring seamless data flow and leading the optimization of NTC’s data lake. What Will You Bring: - Bachelor’s degree in a related field required; Master’s degree preferred. - 12+ years of experience in technology management, strategic planning, and project management - 5+ years of people management experience (direct supervisory and management responsibilities, including hiring, developing, and evaluating performance) - Proven track record of implementing AI/ML strategies and navigating emerging tech trends - Deep understanding of AI frameworks and the ethical implications of AI in education - Experience in or deep familiarity with educator development (induction, coaching, or school leadership) - Strong understanding of security frameworks (NIST) and data privacy laws - Proven ability to identify, cultivate, and manage high-level partnerships across the EdTech ecosystem - Exceptional public speaking skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse, non-technical audiences and external partners What We Offer: This position offers a competitive starting salary range of $151,200-$226,800, along with a comprehensive benefits package. New hires are typically brought into the organization at a salary closer to the start of the range.
