Role Description This role is accountable for the full capture cycle in the EW and Radar marketspace, including team management and developing strategy. This role will directly manage key accounts. Commitment to and support of the company’s core values are key to success in this position. - Lead and manage a high performing sales and business development team. - Work with program management in our existing customers to broaden our opportunity pipeline. - Penetrate fully new EW and Radar customers who can contribute to our ambitious growth goals. - Craft strong relationships with complex customer project teams and various management levels. - Forge new relationships with the cross functional organizations at potential customers. - Display intimate knowledge of customers, market, and competitive landscape. - Directly engage with customers to win incremental business through active business development, including establishment of strong relationships within Sr. management levels. - Work closely with customer’s project teams to ensure all requirements, specifications, and information are collected and clearly communicated internally. - Coordinate with internal program, engineering, and operations management to participate in a technical review for new programs. - Manage the preparation of formal quotation packages to maximize profitable revenue growth. - Engage with customers on all commercial topics including credit and shipping terms, legal requirements, payments, etc. - Respond when necessary to special customer needs or complaints. - Utilize Salesforce CRM daily to frequently and transparently communicate all opportunities, wins, and losses to colleagues and management. - Uphold the company core values. - Other duties as assigned. Qualifications - Technical Aptitude. - Deep understanding of EW and Radar markets. - Deep understanding of end-use applications. - Proven track record of delivering remarkable sales growth. - Excellent attention to detail. - Software proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based CRM applications. - Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. - Must be adaptable to a changing work environment and competing demands. - Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines. - Excellent time management skills. Requirements - BS in Engineering or related. - Minimum of 10 years of direct work within the EW and Radar marketspace. - Minimum of 5 years in strategic business development with a track record of successful captures within the EW and Radar market. - Minimum 2 years in a leadership role. - Must provide proof of US Citizenship or Permanent Residency to comply with ITAR/EAR requirements. - Ability to pass a drug screen per Vitesse Systems’ drug testing policy. - Ability to pass a criminal background check per Vitesse Systems’ policy. Role Description As a Business Development Executive, your efforts are instrumental in driving unprecedented growth in the Aerospace and Defense industry. Your focus will be on communicating our strategic value to key decision makers, both strengthening existing customer ties and forging new, powerful customer relationships. You bring a blend of technical aptitude, passion for sales, and keen understanding of our customer’s unique technical and budgetary needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Strategic Opportunity Identification: - Dive into markets, analyze trends, and identify high-value prospects. - Develop compelling strategies aligned with organizational objectives. - Lead market penetration. - Relationship Building: - Cultivate strong ties with clients, partners, and stakeholders. - Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams for successful captures. - Serve as the first point of contact for our strategic relationships. - Innovative Proposal Development: - Support crafting client-focused proposals that resonate. - Develop persuasive win themes, showcasing our unique value proposition. - Competitive Analysis: - Conduct in-depth competitor analysis. - Devise effective strategies to enhance our competitive advantage and market presence. - Uphold the company’s core values. - Other duties as assigned. May be substituted for year-by-year experience. - Minimum of 5 years in strategic business development with a track record of successful captures. - At least 1 year of experience working directly within the Aerospace and Defense industry or with government contracts.
