Sales Development Representative

Role Description Ministry Brands is looking for a Sales Development Representative to join our growing team! As a Sales Development Representative, you will be responsible for generating and qualifying leads, reaching out to prospective clients, and setting up meetings for the Account Executives. Your role is critical in driving the early stages of the sales funnel and contributing to the growth of the business. Key Responsibilities: - Develop pipeline by building interest with new prospects and clients resulting from your own outbound research and activities including email, phone and/or social media. - Set meetings for sales team for product demonstrations with interested prospects (from both inbound leads and your own self-sourced leads). - Make a minimum of 40 calls a day, sending at least 10 personalized emails. - Spend admin time learning the product every week. - Learn the multiple verticals across the business depending on the verticals you work. - Ask for feedback in 1 on 1’s on how to keep improving. - Work closely with marketing and sales teams to initiate the sales cycle with specific, targeted demand generation campaigns with prospects and current clients. - Learn and demonstrate a fundamental understanding of solutions and be able to clearly articulate the advantages over competitors. - Meet monthly quotas for overall activity, demonstrations set & conducted, and qualified opportunity dollars. - Utilize phone dialer tools with daily usage of 2 hours per day when making dials. - Contribute to every component of the critical functions associated with fulfilling the sales cycle (forecasting, reporting, customer database maintenance, communications, etc.). - Respond to all inbound leads and log activities in CRM. - Work alongside AE’s to ensure SAOs resort into a Closed Won. - Follow the GTM strategy for new and existing business. Role Description As the Director of Platforms, you will own the strategy, performance, and evolution of the technology platforms that power our pre-employment and volunteer background screening services. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team responsible for the operation, optimization, and modernization of our three primary screening delivery platforms, driving reliability, scalability, compliance, and a best-in-class candidate and customer experience. A central focus of this role is developing and executing the multi-year platform consolidation and migration strategy that unifies our screening capabilities, reduces operational complexity, and accelerates product innovation. Key Responsibilities - Own the end-to-end strategy and roadmap for our three primary background screening delivery platforms, balancing day-to-day reliability with long-term modernization. - Develop and execute a multi-year platform consolidation and migration strategy; defining the target-state architecture, phasing, customer migration playbooks, success metrics, and risk mitigation plans. - Lead cross-functional execution of platform migrations in partnership with Product, Engineering, Operations, Compliance, Relationship Management, and Sales, ensuring zero-disruption transitions for customers, candidates, and integration partners. - Set and govern platform KPIs across availability, throughput, turnaround time, error rates, cost-to-serve, and compliance posture; report platform health to executive leadership on a regular cadence. - Partner with Engineering and Product leadership to prioritize platform investments including data model unification, API standardization, ATS/HCM integration parity, and automation of fulfillment workflows. - Champion an FCRA-, EEOC-, and state-CRA-compliant operating model across all platforms, partnering with Legal and Compliance on data retention, dispute handling, adverse action workflows, and audit readiness. - Define and operationalize platform SLAs and incident response standards; lead post-incident reviews and drive continuous-improvement initiatives that reduce manual touch and rework. - Manage vendor and supplier relationships for data sources, infrastructure, and third-party screening components; negotiate commercial terms and ensure performance against SLAs. - Serve as a senior internal and external spokesperson for the platform; engaging with key customers, partners, auditors, and industry bodies on platform direction, security, and compliance. - Own platform total cost of ownership; build the annual operating plan, manage capital and operating budgets, and deliver measurable unit-economic improvement through consolidation. What You'll Do: As a Sr. Prospect Account Executive, Payments, you will be responsible for identifying and building strong relationships with new prospective clients within the upmarket Protestant and Ministry Adjacent NPO space (greater than $1M in annual giving). With a focus on driving new giving relationships, you will be leveraging the value and benefit of our complete portfolio of solutions, driving net new revenue while managing the full sales cycle. You will also work to develop sales channel partnerships that will increase Ministry Brands penetration within the giving market. Key Responsibilities: - You will prospect and qualify new opportunities, ensuring that they align with our product offerings - You will manage the entire sales cycle, from identifying new opportunities to closing the sale and ensuring customer satisfaction - Negotiate pricing and contract terms and conditions - Speak with clients to understand, anticipate, and meet their needs, identify and resolve client concerns, and provide excellent customer service - Expand market awareness of our products and industry experience communicating the features and benefits of our products and services - Help to deepen our understanding of key buying criteria for FBO NPO adjacencies (social services, healthcare, education) - Look for and develop opportunities for channel partnerships to increase sales reach into new markets - Maintain and enter all prospects and new sales information into Salesforce - Develop and maintain product knowledge and be an industry expert - Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings and regulatory changes affecting the merchant services landscape Who You Are: - Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience - 5+ years of experience in Payments Processing, Merchant Services, or other adjacent fields - Proven track record of success in a merchant-facing sales or account management role - Deep understanding of merchant services, payment processing, and related technologies - Demonstrated ability to establish priorities and exceed sales targets  - Demonstrated knowledge of a variety sales processes, techniques, and technologies - Strong negotiation and analytical skills - Enterprise selling experience – managing complex multi-solution buying decisions - Successful closing skills and the ability to solve practical problems - Excellent customer service, time management, and organizational skills - Must be able to work under pressure to meet inflexible deadlines while maintaining composure: You must be able to work under pressure to meet inflexible deadlines while maintaining composure. - Proficiency in Salesforce, preferred Physical Considerations: - Ability to work in a general office environment - Ability to handle extended periods of computer-based work, including telephone - Ability to work flexible and long hours, as needed, including outside regular business hours and days Travel Considerations: - Domestic and/or international travel required, estimated up to 40% Benefit offerings designed to promote a life of balance!     At Ministry Brands, we recognize that your career is just one important piece of your dynamic life.
