Role Description Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, the Director of Patient Marketing will be responsible for building and executing patient marketing strategies for CARDAMYST in the US market. The successful candidate will be a foundational member of the marketing leadership team and responsible for marketing to all external customers as well as leading patient CRM & Social Media agencies, commercial partner/vendor relationships, and leading cross functional collaboration. In addition, the Director of Patient Marketing will help to build and work closely with all key commercialization functions, including Corporate Communications/PR, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Commercial Operations, Regulatory Affairs, Finance, and Human Resources to ensure organizational alignment with the patient marketing strategy. Although primarily focused on activating persons with or suspected PSVT, the Director of Patient Marketing will also contribute to plans for future pipeline assets as well as life cycle activities for CARDAMYST. The successful candidate will ideally be willing to relocate to Charlotte but could also work remotely if they can commit to frequently commuting to attend key organizational and planning meetings with their peers. Location: 40% of work travel required Responsibilities - U.S. Patient Strategy & Launch Campaign Execution - Leading the development of U.S. patient and caregiver brand strategy for CARDAMYST, grounded in a deep understanding of the PSVT community, patient journey, and unmet needs. - Implementing effective patient marketing strategies across digital and community channels that are compliant, easily communicated, and clinically supported. - Building a robust operational and tactical execution plan directed at patients with PSVT across all touchpoints. - Developing and executing a multi-channel disease education program targeted at key external patient stakeholders. - Developing and executing an omnichannel patient directed product promotional plan, inclusive of DTP, to drive appropriate U.S. demand for CARDAMYST. - Patient Engagement & Community Leadership - Designing enhanced tactics for patient training on optimal use of CARDAMYST. - Designing and implementing tactics to drive persistence and ensuring achievement of forecasted refill rates. - Monitoring social media and insight mining to drive appropriate tactics for patient engagement. - Interacting in a professional manner with patient advocates for PSVT and/or HCP experts (doctors and nurses) to acquire insights and feedback on educational content through appropriate channels such as advisory boards and conferences. - Cross-Functional Leadership - Serve as a core member of the Marketing Team for CARDAMYST, partnering closely with Patient Services, Corporate Communications/PR, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Regulatory, Legal, and Compliance. - Ensure strong alignment between patient marketing initiatives and patient support programs, including development of branded patient materials. - Clearly communicate and champion patient brand strategy with internal stakeholders and external partners. - Support field teams with tools, training, and resources to enable effective and compliant patient engagement. - Collaborate closely with Commercial Data & Analytics to incorporate research insights into the development of key market development and branded promotional initiatives; adjust content as needed based on customer insights, and performance against internal KPIs. - Budget & Operational Excellence - Own agency-of-record relationships and drive excellence for patient marketing, including CRM and social media. - Lead the development of patient-facing materials to support consistent execution across channels. - Oversee promotional review (PRC) and ongoing optimization of patient tactics. - Manage patient marketing and patient support services marketing budget, demonstrating strong fiscal discipline and accountability. - Conduct regular performance reviews and field training refreshers to ensure awareness, education, and effective use of patient resources. Qualifications - Candidate must have at least 5 years of consumer/patient marketing experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry. - BA/BS degree. - Depth and breadth of experience in patient/consumer marketing with strong CRM expertise is required. - Social media/Omnichannel expertise. - Experience in planning, developing, executing, and quantifying ROI for multi-channel direct to patient campaigns. - Self-starter; able to drive multiple workstreams simultaneously and prioritize efforts to achieve objectives with minimal direction. - Strong analytical skills and ability to translate qualitative and quantitative insights into actionable strategies and/or tactics. - Ability to influence without direct authority and work effectively with cross-functional partners including but not limited to medical affairs, commercial, analytics, market access, legal and regulatory. - Experience in presenting and simplifying complex topics for senior management. - Can operate and thrive in a high paced and lean environment with minimal structure/processes. - Extensive experience developing and managing budgets and timelines. - Recent success in a US launch desired. - Experience in building markets (first to market). - Cardiology experience desired but not a must have. SUMMARY - Milestone Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Director / Senior Director of Revenue & Government Pricing to lead the end-to-end revenue function, including gross-to-net (GTN), government pricing, and strategic revenue analytics. This role is a critical leadership position responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting while serving as a strategic partner to Commercial, Market Access, and Executive Leadership. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in pharmaceutical revenue management, including GTN modeling, government pricing (AMP, Best Price, etc.), and commercial contracting. This individual will own the design, execution, and continuous improvement of revenue processes, systems, and analytics, and will play a key role in supporting product launch readiness and long-term growth strategy. - The Director will lead an effort to understand and analyzing gross to net estimates and related liabilities, thereby supporting strategic forecasting and budgeting efforts. This hybrid role requires building relationships with key business partners in the Sales, Contracting, Marketing and Finance organizations, as well external vendors. Developing and implementing industry best practices within the Revenue Reporting and Accounting space. Finally, this position will be responsible for leading the annual and quarterly financial reporting process according to U.S. GAAP. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Key Responsibilities 1. Revenue Accounting & Gross-to-Net Leadership - Own the end-to-end GTN process, including accruals, estimates, true-ups, and financial close - Ensure compliance with ASC 606 and U.S. GAAP for all revenue recognition activities - Oversee preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue reporting - Lead account reconciliations, variance analysis, and audit support - Maintain a robust control environment to ensure accuracy and compliance 2. Government Pricing & Compliance - Own all government pricing calculations, including AMP, Best Price, Non-FAMP, and related metrics - Oversee Medicaid, Medicare, Tricare, and other federal/state program rebates and reporting - Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including Public Law filings and pricing transparency laws - Partner with Compliance and Legal to manage pricing risk and regulatory exposure 3. Forecasting, Modeling & Analytics - Lead development of GTN forecasting models, including payer mix, channel dynamics, and demand drivers - Develop and maintain driver-based revenue models to support budgeting and long-range planning - Provide scenario analysis and decision support to leadership on pricing and contracting strategies - Deliver actionable insights on revenue trends, risks, and opportunities 4. Commercial & Market Access Partnership - Serve as a strategic finance partner to Market Access, Commercial, and Pricing teams - Evaluate financial impact of commercial contracts, rebates, and pricing strategies - Support contract negotiations through ROI modeling and profitability analysis - Participate in Contract Pricing Committee and provide data-driven recommendations 5. Trade, Distribution & 3PL Oversight - Oversee revenue-related activities of third-party logistics (3PL) providers - Monitor channel inventory, wholesaler activity, chargebacks, and returns - Ensure accuracy of data flows from wholesalers, PBMs, and other external partners 6. Systems, Data & Process Optimization - Own revenue systems and data infrastructure (e.g., GTN modeling tools, contract systems) - Drive automation and scalability of revenue processes - Ensure data integrity across multiple data sources (3PL, PBM, government, etc.) - Implement best-in-class tools and processes to support growth 7. Financial Reporting & SEC Filings - Lead preparation of revenue disclosures for SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, MD&A) - Collaborate with Finance leadership on external reporting requirements - Support internal and external audit processes 8. Position Overview The Director, Market Access is a hands-on operational leadership role responsible for executing market access functions supporting the Cardamyst commercial launch and ongoing lifecycle management. This person will serve as the primary point of contact for all market access vendors and will manage the day-to-day execution of payer contracting support, GTN/accruals analytics, pull-through materials, patient support programs, government pricing operations and state compliance reporting. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a small-company environment and will be involved in every aspect of market access — from reviewing government price calculations to troubleshooting a patient’s copay issue to preparing a formulary negotiation model. The role requires a willingness and ability to operate at both the strategic and tactical level. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Patient Support Program Operations - Serve as the primary vendor relationship owner for all patient support partners including copay card (UBC), eVoucher/denial conversion (CoverMyMeds, Relay Health), prior authorization support (CoverMyMeds PA+), patient support call center, and any future programs - Monitor and optimize patient journey metrics across dispensing options: PA submission through approval, pharmacy adjudication, copay program utilization, fill rates, and abandonment - Proactively identify and troubleshoot access barriers throughout the patient journey; develop action plans to address issues surfaced through data, vendor feedback, or field intelligence - Manage program compliance, including copay card accumulators/maximizers, cash-pay restrictions, and coordination of benefits between programs - Lead patient support reporting and analytics, including copay card capture rates, average buydown amounts, out-of-pocket costs, eVoucher utilization, and denial conversion rates Government Pricing and Compliance - Manage government pricing operations through regular standing meetings with the contracted government pricing vendor (CGPV), ensuring timely and accurate calculation submissions and resolving any open items - Execute initial review and approval of government price calculations on a recurring basis; Role Description Reporting to the Senior Director of Commercial Strategy and Execution, the TLL function will be responsible for building relationships with speakers and regional thought leaders as well as executing marketing strategies for the launch of CARDAMYST in the US market. The Thought Leader Liaison (TLL) role is a field-based position within the US commercial marketing organization that will focus on commercials key option leader (KOL) relationship engagement, promotional speaker training and supporting the strategic execution of commercial insight generation to inform company direction. The position will have a strong dotted line to the VP of Marketing. The TLL function will be primarily focused on the launch of CARDAMYST for the PSVT indication and will be bound by promotional guidelines using PRC approved promotional materials. The successful candidate will ideally work remotely, but frequently travel to meet with HCPs, attend national and regional medical conferences and interface with key Milestone stakeholders in the home office in Charlotte as needed.
