Represent Merit effectively and professionally. - Manage the regulatory license portfolio of responsible countries and align with commercial strategies. - Lead integrated regulatory process and system improvement initiatives that will influence and build new capabilities for greater effectiveness and efficiencies. - Support and suggest continuous improvement of resource planning within the team. - Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements. - With limited input and guidance from management, support compliance with RA’s Advocacy process by monitoring regulatory trends and changes across responsible countries. - Ensure the timely and accurate maintenance of regulatory data for responsible countries in applicable ERP, ship control, and RIM systems. - Support Platform RA in conducting due diligence activities, as needed. - Support and when needed represent Regulatory Affairs in audits/inspections in an effective and professional manner. - Assist in putting training material together at the direction of peers or management. - Help develop and manage programs that train stakeholders on current and new regulatory requirements, systems, and tools to ensure organization-wide compliance. - Perform other duties and tasks as required. Qualifications - Education and/or experience equivalent to Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as in the biological, physical, engineering, material science, regulatory, legal or related disciplines. - 8+ years of Regulatory Submissions experience in the medical device industry. - Deep and demonstrated knowledge, use, and/or application of applicable medical device regulations (Quality System Standards/Regulations/Laws, including but not limited to ISO 13485, etc., Design Controls). - Identify and frame concepts with a basic understanding of business impact. Role Description Provides clinical training to various groups such as Sales Representatives, Tech Teams, Merit employees, Cath lab and Radiology staff, and physicians on all Merit products. - Answers clinical questions from doctors, technicians, sales representatives, etc. - Works with Sales Representatives in the field or customers to do evaluations and consultations or obtain complaint information. - Follows up on previous product evaluations and conversions or complaints that require additional information. - Establish relationships and builds confidence among lab staff, physicians, Sales Representatives, and customers. - May ensure clinical details involving customer complaints are documented. - May attend meetings to help determine which events/incidents require notification to regulatory authorities. - Liaison between the lab/customers and Sales Representatives. - May conduct assessment testing to ascertain the skill level and ability of those individuals being trained, and develop training curriculums and programs to improve knowledge, skill, and ability. - Conducts ongoing staff training and provides clinical feedback to resolve customer related issues. - Works in the field to support and train clinicians on the use of Merit products and to troubleshoot product related issues in the field. - May assist with the roll out of new products, including educating the Sales Representatives on the features and benefits. - Provides information on new technologies, procedures and changes in the medical device industry. - May develop product training and procedural materials. - May develop programs for labs to obtain CEU credits, in conjunction with an independent outside accrediting firm. - Works with the T.I.A. Role Description This position is a fixed-term opportunity currently expected to run through March 2027. - Perform complaint investigations and assist with reporting decisions. - Interact with various levels of management, international regulatory affairs/quality assurance, and global regulatory bodies on the adverse event reporting process. - Analyze and make recommendations regarding complaints received by Merit to determine if they are reportable to global regulatory bodies. - Participate in complaint related meetings to determine which complaints require an adverse event report. - Perform and review complaint investigations and make recommendations for resolution. - Maintain appropriate records for the Global Quality Assurance adverse event reporting system as defined in relevant procedures. - Prepare for, participate in and assist with FDA facility inspections, Notified Body Audits, Post Market Surveillance activities and other governmental inspections as directed. - Perform other duties and tasks, as needed. Role Description - Performs clinical data and query review to ensure consistency, integrity and accuracy based on project specific guidelines. - Works closely with company Operating Procedures and ICH GCP and ensures correct processes are being followed. - Defines database requirements and data validations and performs/supports validation of data management systems. - Builds a database based on study specifications. - Participates in study team and all related meetings for assigned protocols by providing data management updates. - Participates in the development and maintenance of data management study documentation including the data management plan, reconciliation guidelines and eCRF specifications. - Assumes responsibility for all data management activities for assigned studies. - Produces and reviews metric reports for internal/external project teams. - Provides feedback for system/report improvement. - Performs other duties and tasks, as required. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PERFORMED 1. Provides clinical training to various groups such as Sales Representatives, Tech Teams, Merit employees, Cath lab and Radiology staff, and physicians on all Merit products. 2. Answers clinical questions from doctors, technicians, sales representatives, etc. 3. Works with Sales Representatives in the field or customers to do evaluations and consultations or obtain complaint information. 4. Follows up on previous product evaluations and conversions or complaints that require additional information. 5. Establish relationships and builds confidence among lab staff, physicians, Sales Representatives, and customers. 6. May ensure clinical details involving customer complaints are documented. 7. May attend meetings to help determine which events/incidents require notification to regulatory authorities. 8. Liaison between the lab/customers and Sales Representatives. 9. May conduct assessment testing to ascertain the skill level and ability of those individuals being trained, and develop training curriculums and programs to improve knowledge, skill, and ability. 10. Conducts ongoing staff training and provide clinical feedback to resolve customer related issues. 11. Works in the field to support and train clinicians on the use of Merit products and to troubleshoot product related issues in the field. 12. May assist with the roll out of new products, including educating the Sales Representatives on the features and benefits. 13. Provides information on new technologies, procedures and changes in the medical device industry. 14. May develop product training and procedural materials. 15. May develop programs for labs to obtain CEU credits, in conjunction with an independent outside accredit firm. 16. Works with the T.I.A. Department to improve existing products and the development of new products. 17. May make presentations at Regional and National meetings regarding new products, procedures, and customer complaint requirements. 18. Performs other related duties and tasks as required. The base salary for this role starts at $85,000 annually and may increase based on experience, qualifications, and location. In addition to base pay, this position includes an annual sales bonus plan and commission opportunities. The territory covers Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania, with an expectation of approximately 75% travel.
