Role Description We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Designer to support engineering and design initiatives for building systems. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong technical expertise and experience in refrigeration system design. The Refrigeration Designer is responsible for developing detailed engineering designs and construction documents for refrigeration systems. This role will work closely with senior engineering staff to translate conceptual designs into fully developed drawing packages using AutoCAD and Revit. Key Responsibilities - Prepare and develop detailed refrigeration system designs for commercial and retail building projects - Create, update, and maintain AutoCAD and Revit drawing packages - Assist with system selection, layout, and sizing under the guidance of senior engineers - Participate in conceptual design and project planning activities - Ensure designs comply with project schedules, codes, and industry standards - Maintain quality control and ensure all designs meet engineering and regulatory requirements - Perform design calculations and produce accurate engineering documentation - Coordinate with local building officials to ensure code compliance - Support project teams with site visits, reporting, and documentation as needed - Assist with administrative tasks such as plotting drawings and preparing project deliverables Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) - 5+ years of relevant professional experience in refrigeration or HVAC design - Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (required) - Strong understanding of thermodynamics and refrigeration cycles - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills - Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment - Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with internal teams, clients, and vendors - Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) - Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites Requirements - Competitive salary: $70,000 – $90,000+ (based on experience) - Medical, Dental, Vision, and Prescription coverage - Paid vacation, holidays, and floating holiday - 401(k) with company match - Company-sponsored life insurance - Optional AD&D, short- and long-term disability coverage - Tuition reimbursement - Employee discount programs (travel, vehicles, entertainment, and more) - Pet insurance - Legal plan and ID theft protection
