Role Description MAG are seeking a consultant to provide geospatial risk analysis and recommendations for improvement. The purpose of the assignment is to support efforts to assess and manage risks related to explosive ordnance (EO) contamination along a designated infrastructure corridor in Angola. The consultancy will be conducted in close coordination with MAG technical and operational teams. The objectives of this consultancy are to: - Develop a geospatial risk model for EO contamination along the specified infrastructure corridor - Integrate EO contamination data with environmental and spatial datasets - Support operational decision-making through risk mapping and analysis - Assess the quality of Mine Action data and provide recommendations for improvement Expected outcomes include: - Inception note (within first few days) - Methodology - Workplan - Data requirements - Geospatial Risk Model and Maps - GIS layers - Risk classification outputs - Final Report - Methodology and assumptions - Results and interpretation (risk analysis, data quality assessment) - Limitations - Recommendations - Presentation to relevant stakeholders The assignment is expected to commence in May 2026 and run for no longer than 20 working days. MAG are open to considering this as a remote or in-country consultancy. Qualifications - An advanced degree in GIS, geospatial analysis, geography, or a relevant related field - Proven experience in geospatial risk modelling - Spatial analysis (ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar) - Experience with Mine Action data (IMSMA or similar) - Strong analytical and reporting skills - Experience working in humanitarian or post-conflict contexts (advantageous) Requirements Please note that as part of MAG's commitment to safeguarding, this post is subject to background checks before an offer of consultancy is confirmed. REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS UK Contracted Reward Review Mines Advisory Group (MAG) is seeking an experienced reward consultant or consultancy team to support a comprehensive review and redesign of its UK contracted reward framework. About MAG MAG (Mines Advisory Group) is an international humanitarian organisation working to save lives and build safer futures in conflict affected and fragile contexts. We operate globally across mine action and weapons and ammunition management programmes, working in partnership with governments, donors and affected communities. Overview MAG is undertaking a strategic review of its UK contracted reward framework to ensure it remains fit for purpose, aligned with organisational priorities, and able to support the attraction, retention and development of key talent. MAG has committed to a more comprehensive review in 2026. This assignment will provide external expertise to support diagnostic analysis, design of a revised framework, and development of practical, implementable recommendations. Purpose of the assignment The purpose of this consultancy is to review and redesign key elements of MAG’s UK contracted reward framework so that it is fair, transparent, market aware, operationally effective and financially sustainable. The assignment will combine technical analysis, stakeholder engagement, options development and implementation planning. Scope of work The review will focus on UK contracted staff and will include: • Review of reward policy and principles to assess alignment with organisational needs and future direction • Assessment of current job family structure, grading architecture and overall framework design • Review of job evaluation methodology, including clarity, consistency and practical application • Analysis of salary structures, progression approaches and incremental models • Review of allowances and modular reward elements, with recommendations for simplification and alignment • Development of practical design options with clear recommendations and rationale • Indicative cost modelling and affordability analysis • Development of a high level implementation and transition roadmap The consultant will engage with key internal stakeholders and provide advice that is grounded in relevant market practice while being appropriate for an international humanitarian organisation. Deliverables The assignment is expected to produce: • A diagnostic report outlining strengths, risks and key issues in the current framework • An options paper with clear recommendations and rationale • A high level proposed reward framework design • Indicative financial modelling of recommended options • An implementation and transition roadmap • Presentation materials suitable for senior leadership and governance discussions Timeline The assignment is expected to run from May to September 2026, aligned to MAG’s internal governance milestones. REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS Review of Salary and Benefits Framework – MAG Belgium Mines Advisory Group (MAG) is seeking a qualified consultant or service provider to undertake a review of its salary and benefits framework for its Belgium entity. About MAG MAG (Mines Advisory Group) is an international humanitarian organisation working to save lives and build safer futures in conflict affected and fragile contexts. Overview MAG Belgium is a legally registered entity established to support our engagement with European institutions and funding mechanisms. With a small but growing team based in Belgium, we are seeking to ensure that our approach to salaries and benefits is competitive, compliant and aligned with both the local market and MAG’s global reward principles. Purpose of the assignment The purpose of this consultancy is to provide independent benchmarking and analysis to inform MAG’s approach to salaries and benefits for employees in Belgium. This will support decision making on how best to position our total reward offering in a way that is fair, sustainable and aligned with the Belgian market. Scope of work The assignment will focus on benchmarking and analysis and will include: • Reviewing MAG’s job evaluation framework and aligning roles to appropriate market comparators • Conducting salary benchmarking for professional roles within the Belgium and Brussels market • Providing analysis of non statutory benefits, including typical market practice and tax efficient approaches • Producing a clear and evidence based benchmarking report, including methodology and assumptions • Recommending options for salary positioning and benefits, with indicative cost implications • Highlighting risks, sensitivities and key considerations for implementation There may be an opportunity for a follow on phase to support implementation, subject to internal decision making. Role Description Reporting to the Global Head of Procurement and Logistics, the Global Fleet Manager leads on the development and adoption of MAG’s Global Fleet Management Standards, promoting continuous improvement and quality management culture across all MAG locations. You will act as a global focal point, supporting both remotely and through field visits to ensure the quality and effectiveness of management processes and internal controls used across a wide range of motorised assets including light vehicles, generators, and heavy vehicles. - Act as the business owner of MAG’s Standard Specifications for Motorised Assets. - Supervise the full lifecycle of the management process in collaboration with the Global Mechanical Technical Advisor. - Provide technical guidance and ensure the development and implementation of effective quality assurance processes. - Work with key stakeholders, including MAG leadership, to design and rollout initiatives to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and environmental impact reduction of MAG’s fleet. Qualifications - Direct experience managing large fleets within complex operating environments, including 4x4 and heavy vehicles. - Demonstrable understanding of the challenges and constraints associated with operating specialised fleet in challenging contexts. - Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities and work calmly under pressure. - Adept with reporting systems, dashboard management tools, and data analysis. - Excellent written and spoken English language skills, including experience writing and reviewing policies and SOPs. - Inclusive and facilitatory, with experience capacity building senior and junior colleagues. - Experience acting as a technical leader and leading the adoption of processes and standards across multiple locations. Requirements - Experience managing fleets of light vehicles at large scale in contexts where MAG operates. - Qualifications in mechanical engineering or workshop management. - Experience using fleet management systems including data analysis and analytics. Benefits - Salary: £46,544 per annum and this increases with service. - Pension: MAG has a salary sacrifice group personal pension plan in place, and matches employee’s contributions up to 5% (only available to individuals based in the UK). - Leave: Annual Leave starts at five weeks each year and increases with service to six weeks.
