Role Description Reporting to the Manager of Clinical Informatics, the Applications Analyst (EPIC Grand Central) will use their clinical knowledge combined with their superior analytical skills to support the Mackenzie health EMR (electronic medical record) across all sites. Using their expertise, they will be responsible for scoping, developing and supporting all build associated with the EMR hospital facility structure. Additionally, they will work closely with Bed Allocation, Patient Flow, EVS and Patient Transport operational leadership and staff to provide end user support, troubleshoot issues and errors in the system, enhance and improve EMR while maintaining system standards by analyzing business operations, prioritizing, and implementing requested changes. - Contribute to safe, quality care by: - Participate in rotational on-call, integrated system testing, upgrades and optimizations of the software, training. - Create and maintain training environments and curriculums. - Develop and document policies and procedures and ensure clear communication between end users, EMR, and associated third party vendors. Qualifications - Undergraduate degree or diploma in a clinically related field; health informatics or computer science or equivalent. - Epic certification in Epic Grand Central preferred or certification will be required within 3 months of hire. - Two (2) years of hospital clinical and/or hospital information systems and EMR experience (required). - Experience working with Epic EMR (required). - Superior experience with MS Office/ Windows / Visio experience. - Knowledge of how various clinical workflows are conducted in a hospital setting. - Knowledge of configuring MyChart questionnaires, Care Companion, and Epic Gold Star functionalities. - Experience implementing Epic version upgrades through Nova Note review, build, and testing. - Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate information clearly and concisely with physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, other clinical stakeholders, and project leadership. - Strong communication and conflict-management skills. - Proven attendance record. Role Description As an integral member of the Facilities department, and working under the direction of the Director, Facility Operations & Planning, the Project Coordinator will act as the hospitals’ representative working with a multi-disciplinary team of hospital staff, professional consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to guide the planning, design, implementation, contract administration, and close out of multiple projects across the hospital, including Mackenzie Health community locations. The incumbent will work closely with hospital users to plan and design the physical space requirements to support process redesign objectives and hospital policies and procedures. The incumbent will ensure that plans are developed in accordance with best practice, adhering to applicable codes, standards, and relevant regulatory guidelines.
