Law School Admission Council (LSAC)

• Lead the design and hands-on implementation of Azure-based solutions • Author production code (.NET Core, React, services, APIs) • Define and enforce patterns by building reference implementations • Design and build CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling • Stand up the production-support at scale: observability and SLOs, alerting • Partner with the SRE team and support engineering to operationalize these patterns • Lead the response to high-severity production issues • Design and implement microservices and APIs with thoughtfully defined contracts • Communicate architectural decisions, trade-offs, and risks clearly in writing and verbally

• Provide administrative support to the General Counsel and members of the legal team. • Assist with scheduling of meetings, completion and submission of expense reports and time sheets. • Coordinate travel, itineraries and authorizations. • Draft and revise legal documents and correspondence as requested by Legal Counsel. • Create and edit documents, spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations. • Provide operational and basic project management for key initiatives. • Organize and determine priorities for incoming mail and phone calls.

• Lead as a methodological and quantitative research specialist • Work closely within the research team to manage, design, and execute research activities • Strategically create and analyze large datasets • Write research reports and present findings to stakeholders

• Collaborate with other internal stakeholders to ensure clear and easily accessible summaries of research and data, including useable and understandable data visualization. • Document and communicate research findings through published essays, reports, and presentations to stakeholders in legal education and the legal profession, including regulators, educators, law schools, prelaw advisors, pathway programs, and others. • Compile the annual report of LSAC’s research and data insights. • Conduct data analysis, both quantitative and qualitative. • Create datasets, pulling data from various sources. • Use an equity-minded framework and approach to write applied policy and research reports based on research and data produced by LSAC’s Research team. • Readily identify potential for bias and actively work to minimize inequities in research and applied settings, including research projects, tools, products, and services. • Contribute to the Research team strategic plan, goals, and research agenda. • Follow LSAC procedures, processes, and protocols to conduct rigorous research Support and collaborate closely with the senior director of research and the Research team. • Monitor current events, political and economic developments, and social trends that may have an impact on legal and higher education policies. • Keep up to date on the latest research and literature in education, pipeline/pathway programs, admissions, legal education, student learning outcomes, student development, measurement tools, assessments, the legal profession, equity, advance quantitative methodology, and other relevant fields.

• Oversee LSAC’s engagement with candidates through the application process and law school. • Build products and oversee operations to support candidates through this process. • Oversee website and product development, including multiple media channels. • Speak publicly and present on trends in the industry. • Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization to establish short- and long-term goals based on appropriate data. • Work closely with the leadership team to ensure objectives are aligned with enterprise objectives. • Coordinate efforts starting with initiative launch through product delivery. • Contribute to the creation of new business models and commercialization plans to increase LSAC’s offerings while staying aligned with our corporate mission. • Evolve proof of concepts and ideas into revenue generating businesses. • Understand short term and long-term industry direction and transfer the knowledge throughout the team. • Keep other business verticals and executive team informed so they can support the team and align enterprise activities.

Identify adoption blockers, measure team AI maturity over time, gather feedback from engineers and stakeholders, and continuously iterate on enablement programs; evangelize Gen-AI success stories across the broader Technology Solutions and Platforms organization. • Architect and implement Generative AI features using Azure OpenAI Service, OpenAI APIs, and open-source LLMs including chat interfaces, document summarization, intelligent search, and automated content generation. • Design and maintain Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines integrating vector databases (e.g., Azure AI Search, Pinecone, pgvector) with enterprise data sources to ground model outputs in authoritative content. • Lead prompt engineering efforts; craft, version, evaluate, and iteratively refine system prompts, few-shot examples, and chain-of-thought strategies to maximize accuracy and safety. • Establish and enforce responsible AI practices, bias evaluation, content filtering, PII redaction, audit logging, and compliance with LSAC data governance standards for all AI-powered features.

• Write and review test content in assigned areas • Translate and review translations of LSAT test content from English to Spanish • Represent LSAC in discussions with external stakeholders • Work with other Test Developers to resolve differences in judgment • Review test sections for appropriate content variety
