Role Description We’re looking for a mid-level IT Engineer to help scale and secure our internal systems as we grow. This role blends IT operations, security, and engineering, and is ideal for someone who enjoys solving day-to-day technical challenges while also building automation and improving systems over time. You’ll play a key role in supporting employees, managing devices and identity systems, and strengthening our security posture—while contributing to a more efficient and scalable IT environment. What You’ll Do - Manage employee onboarding and offboarding, including account provisioning, laptop provisioning and access control across systems - Administer and maintain Google Workspace (users, groups, policies, and security settings) - Own and operate MDM solutions to manage and secure company devices - Monitor device health and enforce security and compliance standards - Triage and respond to security vulnerabilities, alerts, and incidents - Partner with engineering to remediate vulnerabilities and improve security posture - Provide technical support and resolve internal IT issues (Tier 2 escalation) - Write scripts and tools (Python, Bash) to automate IT and security workflows - Maintain clear documentation for systems, processes, and troubleshooting - Support audits and compliance initiatives (e.g., SOC 2, HIPAA) Qualifications - 3–5 years of experience in IT, security, or infrastructure engineering - Hands-on experience with MDM platforms (e.g., Jamf, JumpCloud, or similar) - Strong Apple/Windows administration and troubleshooting skills - Proficiency in scripting or programming (Python, Bash, or similar) - Experience identifying and triaging security vulnerabilities - Strong understanding of identity and access management (SSO, IAM, RBAC) - Solid troubleshooting skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset - Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment Requirements - Experience in healthcare, SaaS, or regulated environments (HIPAA, SOC 2) - Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) - Experience with Vanta or a similar compliance and trust management platform - Exposure to security tools (SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanners) - Experience administering Google Workspace in a business environment - IT Certifications: CCNA, A+, Google Cloud, Azure, AWS, etc. - Experience with automation, APIs, or infrastructure-as-code - Interest in improving systems through automation and scalable design How You Work - You take ownership of your work and follow through on commitments - You can work independently when required - You look for ways to automate and improve processes, not just maintain them - You’re comfortable balancing day-to-day support with longer-term improvements - You collaborate effectively across teams, including engineering and security - You communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Compensation The base salary budgeted for this position is in the $75,000-90,000 range per year. About The Role: We are looking for a reliable, experienced, and task-oriented EA with a proven track record. The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated, professional, organized and capable of managing their workload and prioritizing tasks in a faced paced environment. The role is a "gatekeeper" to our CEO and a reflection of him both internally and externally. Additionally, you will be the first point of contact for everything that goes through the CEOs office. While we are 100% remote, we are looking for someone to be Boston based or EST to align with the time zone for our CEO. This role may involve meeting with the CEO in person from time to time as well What You’ll Do: - Completes a broad variety of professional and personal operational tasks for the CEO including managing an extremely active calendar of appointments; composing and preparing correspondence that are oftentimes confidential (eventually, after trust is built, responds on behalf of the executive); answers calls, arranges travel plans, itineraries, and agendas. - Plans, coordinates and ensures the CEO's schedule is followed and respected. Provides "gatekeeper" and "gateway” role, creating win-win situations for direct access to the CEO's time. - Triage the barrage of information, challenges and background noise that the CEO is bombarded with (this will take time). - Determine what the CEO needs to know and what he does not. - Oftentimes requests that come in may need action, just not from the CEO. - It’s up to the executive assistant to determine how to best respond and redirect these requests so they are resolved without hitting his desk. - Anticipate which requests will likely bubble up again or who may look for other routes to get to the CEO, so you can prepare him just in case. - Anticipates the needs of the CEO and strives to provide services or products before being requested. - Provides a bridge for smooth communication between the CEO's office and internal departments; demonstrating leadership to maintain credibility, trust and support with senior management staff. - Works closely and effectively with the CEO to keep he/she well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities (both personal and professional), following up appropriately. Acts as a "barometer," having a sense for the issues taking place in the environment and keeping the CEO updated. - Interacts professionally with executive assistants of other high level executives in other organizations. - Prep for BOD meetings - once agenda is agreed upon, liaise with legal to prepare consent(s), solicit appropriate content from internal stakeholders for final review by CEO/COO/Legal.. - Successfully completes critical aspects of deliverables with a hands-on approach, including drafting personal correspondence, emails, and other tasks that facilitate the CEO's ability to effectively lead the company. - Act as liaison for CEO between C-Suite and Senior Management. - Maintains discretion and confidentiality in relationships. About You: - 10+ years in a similar EA type role supporting "C level executives - Healthcare, Biotech, Pharma and/or digital health experience - Ability to inspire trust and loyalty given the amount of exposure to confidential information - Confidence in ability to act as a Gatekeeper on behalf of the CEO - proven ability to deter others who want direct access to CEO but perhaps the topic should be resolved by someone else - Ability to pivot and adapt to changing circumstances - Problem solving ability and organizational skills - Excellent platform presentation skills, interpersonal skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
