Role Description Lentech is seeking a REMOTE (DC/metro area preferred) AI Designer/Developer/Engineer with a focus on agentic AI systems—autonomous, goal-driven AI that can reason, plan, and act—to support federal clients and help build our internal AI practice. This role centers on developing intelligent agents and multi-agent systems that automate complex workflows, augment decision-making, and improve mission outcomes in secure government environments. You will play a key role in designing and deploying AI systems that move beyond static models into dynamic, interactive, and adaptive solutions. As a designer and developer, you will develop AI tools that empower users rather than overwhelm them, making AI-driven products approachable and inclusive. Responsibilities - Lead the design and development of Lentech’s AI product suite and our AI Practice, with initial focus on leveraging the Digitalnet.ai JanusAI platform to create mission and customer focused products, and to integrate Digitalnet.ai developed products for customers in the federal marketplace. - Collaborate with Lentech leadership to generate an end to end go to market strategy and implementation plan for Lentech’s AI Practice. - Develop and eventually lead the Agentic AI Division of Lentech. - Collaborate with stakeholders to identify mission workflows that can be automated or augmented agentic AI. - Deploy secure, scalable AI solutions within federal environments (e.g., GovCloud, air-gapped systems). - Design and develop agentic AI systems capable of reasoning, planning, and executing multi-step tasks. - Implement guardrails, monitoring, and human-in-the-loop controls for safe and reliable AI behavior. - Build reusable frameworks, accelerators, and architectures to support Lentech’s AI practice. - Build and orchestrate autonomous agents and multi-agent workflows using modern frameworks (e.g., LangChain, AutoGen, CrewAI, or similar). - Optimize agent performance through evaluation, prompt engineering, and tool-use strategies. - Document system design, agent behaviors, and compliance with federal AI governance standards. - Integrate large language models (LLMs) with tools, APIs, and data sources to enable real-world task execution. - Develop retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines and knowledge-grounded AI systems. Role in Building Lentech’s AI Practice - Lead development of agentic AI capabilities and reusable solution architectures. - Work with existing AI Partners and help identify new partnerships to grow and expand our AI capabilities. - Define best practices for building, deploying, and governing autonomous AI systems. - Create accelerators for common federal use cases (e.g., document analysis, decision support, workflow automation). - Support capture and proposal efforts with differentiated agentic AI solutions. - Mentor teams and promote adoption of agent-based AI approaches across Lentech. Qualifications - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Engineering, or related field. - 6+ years as a software developer or supporting software development activities. - 1+ years as a development lead, scrum master, or manager of a development team. - 3+ years of development experience in AI/ML engineering and software development. - Strong communication and leadership skills. - Strong programming skills in Python and experience building production-grade systems. - Hands-on experience with LLMs and agent frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, AutoGen). - Experience integrating APIs, tools, and external data sources into AI-driven workflows. - Understanding of prompt engineering, RAG architectures, and LLM evaluation techniques. - Familiarity with cloud platforms and secure deployments. - Knowledge of software architecture, distributed systems, and API design. Preferred - Experience developing multi-agent systems or autonomous AI workflows. - Familiarity with vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS). - Experience with model fine-tuning, embeddings, and semantic search. - Knowledge of federal AI compliance frameworks (NIST AI RMF, FedRAMP). - Active or eligible U.S. security clearance. - Experience contributing to AI capability development or innovation labs. Role Description The Contract Manager is responsible for the full lifecycle management of contracts with U.S. federal, state, and local government customers, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations (including FAR/DFARS and agency supplements), company policies, and business objectives. This role partners closely with Capture, Program Management, Finance, and Legal to structure, negotiate, administer, and close out prime contracts and subcontracts that support the company’s strategic goals. - Manage the end‑to‑end contract lifecycle, including pre‑award support, contract formation, administration, modifications, and closeout for government prime contracts and subcontracts. - Review solicitations (RFPs/RFQs), support proposal development, and lead or support contract negotiations on terms, conditions, price, and risk allocation. - Draft, review, and interpret contract documents, including prime contracts, subcontracts, NDAs, Teaming Agreements, Joint Venture agreements, Mentor‑Protégé agreements, and modifications to ensure alignment with company standards and legal requirements. - Draft, review, negotiate, and administer contract terms and conditions, including clauses related to pricing, data rights, intellectual property, indemnification, limitation of liability, and termination. - Ensure contract compliance with FAR, DFARS, GSAR, other agency supplements, and relevant Executive Orders; advise program and leadership teams on regulatory and contractual requirements. - Support capture and program teams on GSA and other government‑wide acquisition contracts, including schedule maintenance, modifications, and compliance with ordering procedures. - Monitor contract performance, deliverables, funding, and schedules; track and report risks, issues, and non‑conformances, and drive corrective actions with internal stakeholders and customer counterparts. - Prepare, review, and process contract changes (change orders, REAs, claims, options, extensions, and administrative modifications) in coordination with Program Management, Finance, and Legal. - Serve as primary contractual interface with Government Contracting Officers, CORs, and prime/subcontract partners, maintaining effective working relationships and resolving contractual disputes. - Manage contractual actions and customer interfaces for Intelligence Community programs, coordinating closely with security, program management, and subcontractors to address unique contractual and security requirements. - Maintain accurate contract files and records, including correspondence, approvals, funding documents, and compliance artifacts, in accordance with company and regulatory requirements. - Utilize Deltek Costpoint for contract setup, funding, revenue, and billing, ensuring contract data is aligned with finance, pricing, and project controls. - Support internal audits, external reviews, and assessments related to contract compliance and business systems; participate in continuous improvement of contract management processes, tools, and templates. - Provide training and guidance to program teams on contract requirements, flow‑downs, GSA/other GWAC rules, and best practices in government contract management. Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Accounting, Law, Public Administration, or related field; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. - 5+ years of progressive experience in contract management or closely related roles with a government contractor, including direct experience with federal (DoD, Intelligence Community, GSA or civilian) contracts. - Demonstrated working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, GSAR, and other federal procurement regulations; experience with common contract types, including FFP, CPFF/CPIF, T&M/LH, and IDIQ vehicles. - Hands‑on experience drafting and negotiating contract terms and conditions, Teaming Agreements, NDAs, Joint Venture agreements, and Mentor‑Protégé agreements for federal contracts. - Experience supporting Intelligence Community contracts, IT contracts and GSA schedule or other government‑wide contract vehicles is highly desirable. - Experience working with Deltek Costpoint for contract setup, funding, revenue recognition, and billing, and for reconciliation with finance and project accounting. - Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills with the ability to assess risk, interpret complex contract language, and propose practical solutions. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with government customers, subcontractors, and internal leadership at multiple levels. - Proficiency with standard office tools and contract management or CLM platforms for document control, workflow, and reporting. - Professional certification such as NCMA’s Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM), Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), or equivalent is preferred. - Ability to obtain and maintain any required U.S. government security clearance for the position.
