Role Description The Operations Manager will plan and oversee the daily operations of the organization to ensure goals and objectives are achieved. - Plans and organizes daily activities related to production and operations. - Measures productivity by analyzing performance data, financial data, and activity reports. - Coordinates with other support departments such as human resources, finance, and logistics to ensure successful production operations. - Determines labor needs to meet production goals. - Assists with budget preparation for operations unit. - Assists with, or prepares and updates, organization’s operations manual and policies. - Performs other related duties as required. Qualifications - Excellent managerial and supervisory skills. - Extensive knowledge of operations and production management. - Ability to interpret financial data as needed to set production goals. - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. - Experience in operations and growth of a Native Hawaiian/Alaskan tribal 8(a) organization. - Manage, plan, direct and coordinate operations. Requirements - U.S. Citizenship is required. - Works with Senior Management to hire and train new employees. - Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of assigned staff. - Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive. - Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Physical Demands - Occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. - Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer. - Expresses or exchanges ideas by means of the spoken word. - Frequently moves some equipment up to 40 pounds. - Must be able to work indoor conditions 90% of the time. - Regularly required to talk or hear. - Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work - This is a full-time position. - Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and may require overtime occasionally. - Evening and weekend hours required, as required by business need. - Position is remote. Travel - Travel is expected to be less than 25% of the time for this position. Experience - Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Business Administration, or related field required; M.B.A. preferred. - Certification through the Institute of Certified Professional Managers (ICPM) preferred. - Ten years of related experience required. Security Clearance - Top Secret/Sensitive (TS/SCI) clearance.
