• Drive Federal expansion: Develop and execute a Federal go-to-market strategy that targets key DoD, IC, and Civilian agencies to drive new revenue and sustainable account growth. • Own the full sales cycle: Manage all stages of the sales process — from opportunity identification and outreach through capture, negotiation, and close — while consistently meeting or exceeding Federal revenue targets. • Engage with ecosystem partners: Work closely with systems integrators, resellers, and contract vehicle partners to accelerate deal velocity and ensure compliance with Federal acquisition processes. • Build trusted relationships: Establish and maintain strong executive and program-level relationships with mission owners, technical leads, and contracting officers across accounts. • Collaborate internally: Partner with Product, Federal Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, Marketing, and Legal to deliver seamless customer experiences and ensure alignment to mission needs. • Strategic account planning: Research target agencies, identify mission priorities and funding streams, and build comprehensive capture strategies that position Kong as a modernization partner. • Pipeline management: Maintain disciplined pipeline development and forecasting in Salesforce, providing accurate visibility to leadership. • Stay informed on policy and technology: Track Federal IT initiatives to align Kong’s value proposition with agency priorities. • Represent Kong Federal: Act as a brand ambassador at industry and government events to expand awareness and foster new relationships.

• Design, develop, and maintain TypeScript microservices that power billing lifecycle management across self-serve and enterprise plan models. • Build and evolve integrations with payment processing, usage metering, and CRM platforms to support contract and entitlement synchronization. • Implement reliable event-driven workflows using Kafka or similar platforms to process contract events, provision entitlements, and trigger billing state transitions. • Design and maintain the entitlement enforcement layer that gates product access based on plan type and contract state across Kong's multi-tenant platform. • Own the provisioning pipeline that maps closed sales opportunities to live org configurations, reducing manual intervention and human error. • Collaborate with product managers, RevOps, and finance stakeholders to translate billing requirements into reliable, auditable system behavior. • Build and improve internal tooling for billing operations, including admin interfaces used by customer support and finance teams. • Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code with comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests across a high-stakes financial domain. • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and architecture planning with a focus on correctness, idempotency, and operational resilience. • Participate in on-call rotation and own incident response for billing platform services. • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of engineering rigor and operational accountability.

• Build out and manage the day-to-day operations of Kong's Executive Briefing Program, creating a best-in-class experience for strategic customer and prospect engagements. • Develop and manage a structured Executive Sponsorship Program that aligns senior Kong leaders with key accounts to deepen relationships and accelerate revenue. • Build and manage a program that cultivates relationships between Kong's investor community, supporting pipeline and growth objectives. • Serve as a key supporting contributor to SKO planning and execution, owning the following areas; overall design elements for the program, including; venue, production and web design; build and maintain registration website; responsible for registration flow and attendee support. • Serve as a key supporting contributor to Silverback planning and execution, owning the following areas; overall design elements for the program; build and maintain registration website; responsible for registration flow and attendee support. • Support the planning and coordination of Quarterly Business Reviews for the CRO organization, ensuring alignment on agenda, logistics, and materials. • Support the operating rhythm for the CRO organization, managing scheduling, calendar coordination, and administrative support to keep the organization running efficiently. • Manage the facilitation and fulfillment of employee gift programs, including recognition moments, milestones, and company-wide gifting initiatives tied to the revenue organization.

• Own reliability for Volcano end-to-end: Define and drive SLOs, error budgets, and incident response practices for all Volcano services — edge deployments, managed Postgres, auth, realtime, storage, and the control plane. • Architect the platform's infrastructure: Design and build the multi-region Kubernetes infrastructure, networking, and data plane that powers Volcano's edge deployment pipeline and backend-as-a-service capabilities. • Build the GitOps and CI/CD backbone: Establish deployment automation, canary pipelines, and preview environment provisioning using ArgoCD, Helm, and Terraform/Terragrunt — setting patterns the broader team will follow. • Scale managed data services: Design, operate, and harden multi-tenant PostgreSQL clusters, Redis caching layers, and object storage — with a focus on data isolation, performance, and disaster recovery. • Drive observability from day one: Instrument every Volcano service with meaningful SLIs; build dashboards, alerts, and runbooks using Datadog, Prometheus, and Grafana before services go live, not after incidents. • Lead cross-functional reliability work: Collaborate with the OCTO team, product engineering, and security to bake reliability and compliance into Volcano's architecture — not bolt it on later. • Set SRE culture and standards: Mentor engineers across Volcano's contributing teams on reliability principles; lead postmortems, define on-call practices, and build a blameless engineering culture. • Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies: Given Volcano's greenfield nature, evaluate and make architectural decisions on edge runtimes, serverless compute, vector databases, and AI-native infrastructure components.
