• The Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Course Developer is responsible for designing and developing high-quality academic course content for Kentucky State University's accelerated online academic programs. • Working collaboratively with instructional designers and academic leadership, the SME creates engaging, academically rigorous, and accessible online learning experiences that align with university standards, program learning outcomes, accreditation expectations, and applicable federal and state requirements. • This position is project-based and does not include instructional responsibilities unless separately appointed. • Develop complete online courses aligned with approved program and course learning outcomes, including syllabi, measurable learning objectives, instructional materials, lectures, readings, learning activities, discussion prompts, and assessments. • Design authentic assessments, including papers, projects, examinations, presentations, and grading rubrics, that effectively measure student learning and competency attainment. • Collaborate with instructional designers to prepare course materials for asynchronous online delivery through the University's learning management system while incorporating accessibility standards and effective online instructional practices. • Ensure course content reflects current scholarship, professional standards, and industry best practices. • Complete curriculum mapping and other documentation necessary to support institutional assessment and accreditation requirements. • Incorporate practical applications, case studies, and learning activities appropriate for adult learners. • Participate in course review and revision processes by incorporating feedback from academic leadership, instructional designers, and peer reviewers. • Ensure all instructional materials comply with copyright, fair use, accessibility, licensing, and intellectual property requirements. • Submit completed course materials according to established development schedules and project milestones. • Maintain confidentiality of University information and course development materials. • Perform other duties as assigned.

• Under the general direction of the Director of Online Education, provides leadership, supervision, and operational oversight of the Student Support Concierge (SSC) team serving online students. • Responsible for establishing service standards, supervising staff, monitoring student success initiatives, analyzing operational data, and coordinating student support services across University departments to promote student retention, persistence, and academic success. • Exercises independent judgment in resolving complex student concerns, improving operational processes, and ensuring consistent, high-quality support for online learners. • Serves as the primary liaison between the Student Support Concierge team and the Office of Online Education and is responsible for maintaining effective communication, performance accountability, and continuous service improvement.
Adjunct - Doctor of Nursing Practice

Role Description Adjunct faculty will work under the supervision of the academic administrator or the academic faculty of the course. The adjunct faculty will have duties and responsibilities expected of regular full-time faculty members in the unit. The DNP Faculty Member will: - Teach graduate-level courses - Mentor DNP students - Engage in scholarly activities The ideal candidate is a DNP-prepared, nationally board-certified FNP or AGPCNP with: - At least two years of teaching experience in a DNP program, preferably online - A student-focused approach - Professional expertise in clinical practice - Experience leading or participating in DNP projects Under the leadership of the Program Administrator and Director of Graduate Programs, facilitate quality learning experiences that provide: - A risk-free environment for student learners that reinforce critical thinking and decision making - Opportunities to enhance caring behaviors towards peers and patients - Enhancement of student’s ability to promote patient safety and quality health care - Improvement of performance, communication, and efficiency in clinical settings - Promotion of evidence-based decision making for professional practice - Facilitation of debriefing and positive feedback to enhance student learning - Encouragement for students to self-analyze their performance Qualifications - Accredited DNP degree from an institution is required - Unencumbered RN license is required - Board certification as an FNP or AGPCNP is preferred - At least two years of teaching in a DNP program, preferably online - Expertise in primary or family care nursing is recommended - Experience as a Chair or Member of DNP scholarly projects is highly desirable Requirements - Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills - Proficiency in online teaching platforms and educational technologies - Ability to provide constructive feedback and mentoring to students - Commitment to student success, professional growth, and academic excellence - Collaboration with faculty, staff, and students Benefits - Collaborative work environment with opportunities for professional growth and development Working Conditions - Ability to sit at a workstation for extended periods - Occasional ability to lift, carry, and put away parcels weighing up to 25 pounds - Normal physical mobility, which includes movement from place to place in the job - Normal physical strength to handle routine office materials and tools - Normal endurance needed for instruction in a clinical setting, if applicable Interested candidates should submit a current CV, a cover letter, a teaching philosophy, and contact information for three professional references.
