PUBLIC RELATIONS SENIOR ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE (Tri-state Area) KCSA Strategic Communications is an integrated communications agency that boasts expertise in Media and Technology, Cannabis and Psychedelics, Financial Services, Healthcare, and Women’s Health and Wellness. Our team of PR, IR, and Digital/Social Media professionals leverage traditional communications, strong financial and media relationships, and digital strategies to tell our clients stories passionately and persuasively. At KCSA, your story doesn’t just get told: it gets celebrated! We’re looking for an SAE on our Financial Services team. This team works with companies at all stages including asset managers, banks, fintech companies, and beyond. The right candidate is financially astute and economically literate, possessing an understanding of the markets and how volatility plays into PR strategy. This person will have media “friendlies” and go-to’s at business outlets, trade and national outlets, and will have contacts spanning online, print, broadcast, and more. Writing is also important, and this person knows how to assemble PR documents quickly and with extreme attention to detail. They will also be confident in guiding junior team members. Responsibilities: - Manage 5 client accounts at once, directly facilitating client comms - Day-to-day program involvement, including drafting & reviewing press releases, pitches, etc - Substantial media relationships - Developing first draft of strategic plan - Ideation of strategy and tactical execution - Ability to write bylines and/or press releases - Review of status reports / forecast / recaps to be provided to senior leadership - Cultivate and manage junior staff – AAE-AE level - Run one account with light supervision Requirements: - Bachelor’s Degree - Prior PR agency experience 3-5 years’ experience - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Team player with ability to take the lead on relevant projects

KCSA accounts require more than just a quarterly or annual strategy. The VP at KCSA is responsible for creating bespoke strategies to serve the ongoing growth of the account, as well as making sure that tactical activities ladder up to agreed upon strategies. - Serve as point of contact for 6-9 client accounts - Lead team of AAE, AE, SAE and AD level employees providing guidance and direct feedback on performance and deliverables. VPs set the tone for KCSA. VPs help foster growth and develop talent into the next generation of PR leaders. - Maintain key relations with target media contacts. - Maintain and cultivate relationships with clients, KCSA clients consider the VP a strategic member of their team, not their “agency lead”. KCSA VPs maintain a regular line of face-to-face, call and email communication with their clients. - Write and/or edit all final drafts of documentation and media for clients - Participate in new business initiatives including drafting of proposals/decks and pitching potential clients. Who you are: - Prior PR agency experience, 6-9 years direct experience in financial services PR - Experience managing account teams of 2-4 employees - Business relationships with key journalists and conference organizers - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Experience using media databases - Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel At KCSA, we know great talent comes in many forms.
