Role Description Delivers services that support and assist Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) Professionals to improve child care program quality. The Portfolio Reviewer will focus on assessment, review, and achievements of Early Childhood Care and Education Professionals within their L2Q link portfolios. - Promotes and supports the Early Childhood Care and Education workforce in Kansas. - Promotes professional growth of ECCE professionals through the L2Q-QRIS review process. - Assists in the creation, delivery, and follow up of L2Q Workshops. - Assists with the development of benchmarks and indicators that make up the Links in the L2Q - QRIS through feedback and discussions. - Stays current on research, practices, and policies regarding program administration, health, and safety, learning and development, family partnerships, and other topic areas as they apply to the early childhood field. - Demonstrates flexibility in hours and days of service to meet the needs of early childhood care and education professionals. - Utilizes professional language regarding the early childhood workforce. - Collaborates with other agencies and organizations who provide early childhood support, training, and/or technical assistance to improve review’s own practices and skills. - Acts as a Primary reviewer on reviews ensuring reviews are done in a timely manner. - Ensures the Review Tracker is kept up to date. - Supports consultants as they review results with educators, ensuring they understand the results and have completed the link results form properly. - Tracks team interrater reliability scores and needed reliability testing. - Reviews and answers questions from consultants and reviewers regarding scoring rubrics. - Supports and/or leads group discussions regarding rubrics and portfolio findings. - Has a working knowledge of all links and the QRIS system used by L2Q. - Updates and maintains portfolios and documentation in current L2Q system. - Participates in a variety of professional development events to stay current with early childhood research, trends, and best practices. - Completes required Child Care Aware® of Kansas employee reports and duties in accordance with agency policies. Qualifications - At minimum, an associate degree with five (5) years’ experience in Early Childhood or a related field or a bachelor’s degree with two (2) years’ experience in Early Childhood or a related field. - Experience working within the L2Q QRIS system. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and cultivate relationships. - An understanding of cross-sector program indicators and requirements. - Ability to develop a logical, sound plan that adequately and efficiently addresses program and provider needs, while meeting funder’s expectations. - Ability to plan, coordinate, conduct/facilitate in-person meetings, virtual meetings, and workshops. - Knowledge of Links to Quality content, the ability to interpret and provide Technical Assistance (TA) to support Link requirements. - Ability to identify consultant needs, assist them in understanding link requirements and preparing for link consultation to meet their needs/goals. - Ability to work independently as a self-starter. - Proficient using Word, Excel, Power Point, and other Microsoft Office based software. - Experience in a nonprofit environment preferred. - Experience providing and facilitating group meetings and activities preferred. Qualifications - At minimum, an associate degree with five (5) years’ experience in Early Childhood or a related field. - Or a bachelor’s degree with two (2) years’ experience in Early Childhood or a related field.
